This is a traditional Japanese ryokan with public baths (gender separated). Dinner and breakfast are amazing and plentiful, with locally sourced organic produce (even coffee!). Our room (Japanese room with private toilet) was to the left of the entrance. It was very spacious. The heater worked very well as autumn night was a bit damp and cold. The beds are futons on wood bed frames on tatami, and they are super comfortable. As I have a whole-leg tattoo which is usually not permitted in the public baths, I notified Ranko in advance, and she reserved the private bath for us. The private bath was a very beautiful blue ceramic bath filled with warm (I don’t think it’s very hot) healing hot spring water from the area. Ranko’s warm personality really made the stay memorable. Be sure to ask her for recommendations of the areas. She is a well of knowledge of the area!

Tsuta Onsen Ryokan ligger omgivet af frodig natur på bjerget Hakkoda og tilbyder varmt kildebad, japansk køkken samt gratis transport til og fra Shichinohe-Towada. Staff was amazing and helpful.

Historical Ryokan SENYUKAN ligger i en historisk bygning i Ōwani, 42 km fra søen Towada. Der er have og udsigt over byen. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly! They helped me securely store my bike and when I first got on the room they brought me a thermos with boiled water so I could have some tea immediately. The onsen itself was small but was pretty empty whenever I went, with good opening hours to suit all lifestyles.

Oirase Guest house KEGETSU ligger i Towada, 5,2 km fra Tsuta Onsen og 32 km fra Towada-søen. Her er en restaurant og gratis privat parkering samt gratis wi-fi. The food was amazing! The host is excellent and really wants you to enjoy your stay.

Very quiet area with very fresh air, a great place out of busy city live. Affordable and unique eateries , Lawson, coffee house and mini supermarket around. Onsen all around if you are onsen lover like me. This hotel has private and public onsen or bath the Japanese called them. Private bath just have to book when you arrive. 1min from asamushi station. Take train from Aomori to asamushi , 20mins 460yen. 2 to 3 days stays will be good. Service staff are friendly.

Hotel Jogakura ligger ved foden af Hakkoda-bjerget og tilbyder indkvartering i bjergene med naturlige varme kilder, saunaer og dejlige japanske måltider. a nice little escape into nature . Quiet location , excellent food and nice onsen , especially the outdoor onsen .

Iroha Ryokan ligger blot 2 minutters gang fra JR Aomori Station og tilbyder enkle værelser i japansk stil med fladskærms-tv. The lady owner was very helpful. The location is near the station. Value for money.
