Surrounded by lush nature on Mount Hakkoda, Tsuta Onsen Ryokan offers a hot spring bath, Japanese cuisine and a free shuttle to/from Shichinohe-Towada. Excellent staff. Some of them might not be good at English but they tried their best in helping us.

Located in the Asamushi Onsen district of Aomori, Kaisenkaku is 19 km from Sannai-Maruyama site and 2 km from Asamushi Aquarium. Location is great! A few steps from the train station. Our room is Japanese style with sea view. Dinner was superb! They served Japanese traditional food set with wagyu and seafood buffet. Breakfast's buffet lines were impressive as well!! Onsen has two big indoor pools and one outdoor pool. Hot spring water is also serviced at our room's bath tub!! We were very happy!!!

I have no words to tell what I think about the hotel for the reason that it was too good. Expecting a dark guesthouse it was a ryokan like with everything that a ryokan provides. Go there and you ll see yourself if I am exaggerating.

Located at the foot of Mount Hakkoda, Hotel Jogakura provides mountain resort accommodation boasting natural hot spring baths, saunas and gorgeous Japanese meals. Beautiful tatami room, stunning scenery, relaxing baths, and the best dinner and breakfast I’ve ever had! Very much worth the trip.

Only a 2-minute walk from JR Aomori Train Station, Iroha Ryokan offers simple Japanese-style rooms with a flat-screen TV. Great location, nice and friendly staff/owner

Here is the best home cooked breakfast. Better than namy luxurious resort in the region. Love the wooden floor of the hotel, it creative & unique. The host was best, friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to her new resort near by.

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Suigunnoyado offers accommodation in Ajigasawa, 45 km from Aomori. Free private parking is available on site. All rooms include a shared bathroom. We loved this hotel! The staff was so friendly and incredibly helpful from the moment we arrived. We are cycling in Japan and are usually a mess by the time we arrive and they helped us find a place for our bikes and quickly check us in. All the drinks, snack and popsicles were unlimited and a joy. I made an espresso in the AM. Perfect. The dinner was exquisite. One of our favorites with fresh sashimi, and light delicate tempura. All the staff explained each item and local ingredients made it extra special. We ate double gohan beer had a big appetite. Special thanks to all who made us feel welcomed! The 2 crazy cyclists!
