The environment is so peaceful, calm and relaxing. It’s very near to lake Shikotsu. Definitely a great choice to away from city hustle bustle. I feel so much refreshed and recharged after the stay. Staff are very friendly and warm, and surprisingly they can address my name when I first walk into the hotel. The room is with a Japanese tatami sitting area where is my favourite area. Marukoma Onsen Ryokan, hotel in Chitose

Offering a terrace and lake view, Marukoma Onsen Ryokan is set in Chitose, 44 km from Sapporo Station and 48 km from Shin-Sapporo Station.

The natural hot spring, as well as the onsen baths, feature what might be the most breathtaking view I have ever had the pleasure to experience. You feel like you are in the Shikotsuko lake, rather than in front of it. The service, staff, room equipment were absolutely spotless, and the irori kaiseki dinner we had was just A++ marks on all fronts, environment included. The fact that you cannot take pictures of the onsen except during the first 20 minutes of the cleaning shift adds to the magic, making it an experience during which you must and want to be completely aware, to take it in to the fullest and engrave the scenery in your memory.

Amazing onsen both in the room and public, stunning lake view from the lounge, free tea and croissants that were not even advertised, shuttle to JR station, just generally a very elegant and cozy vibe. One of the best ryokans I ever stayed at.

Room is rather spacious and big enough for 4 adults, with two single beds and futons. Tatami area and futons make the room feel cosy. The two big windows are a plus to look out onto the streets. Many food outlets right across the street. It is actually a short 5 min walk to JR Chitose Station, if you know how to take the shortest route.

We really enjoyed our stay at this traditional ryokan. It's an old place but clean and comfy. The room on the 3rd floor had a beautiful lake view. Staff was helpful and friendly. The best part was the onsen, especially the outdoor baths were really nice. The place was very quiet and peaceful during our stay.

The hotel located near the airport. We love that the hotel offers a free parking in the hotel area. The restaurant on the ground floor is excellent. We had our first meal at the restaurant and was so impressed. Our guest room has a tatami area and it is very comfortable The onsen facility is good. There are also good restaurants near by.
