Amazing hotel in Robertson. We had a suite with direct pool access - was great to go for a swim in the morning. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Arrived to very good news that we could move to the Honeymoon suite! We relaxed and absorbed the environment, the owners Trevor and Mandy showed us around the landmark hotel which they have recently renovated. Every room was a winner - we were impressed by their roominess and spanking new layout, Dinner was tender Karoo lamb chops and an fine Merlot. In the morning after an icy dip in the pool, we were treated to a sumptuous breakfast, freshly baked scones with butter, cheese, cream and jam followed by eggs and bacon on Ciabatta. My wife had the eggs benedict. There is a fantastic vibe at breakfast. Staff who know there jobs and management close at hand and overseeing all things smoothly.

We loved the quirkiness of the hotel that was its real charm. The art on the walls and all the decor had real charm and character. There is a proper bar area where on one evening they had a very good pianist playing. You definitely get the feeling that the hotel is something of a hub for the village and community and a lot of activity centres around it. Some of the rooms are bigger and nicer than others, and we were able to change ours to a nicer more spacious one. Staff were very accommodating and helpful and we’re able to advise and arrange lots for us to do- on that don’t miss a dip in the local fresh water river - a wonderful start to our day! Breakfast was really delicious with lots of variety. Garden and pool area was very pretty and a lovely place to relax as well.
