Lovely clean hotel in excellent location. the AC is key! It is hot here. Pool was lovely, food was good. Staff pleasant and front desk very helpful. Rooms were clean.

This is a great place to stay if you are planning to dive in Mafia for a view days. The two cosy new bungalows are part of the family run dive center. The staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. The breakfast is yummy and you can also have the option for dinner. I enjoyed the big pool to relax after great dives and the beach is just a stone throw away. Also the dive center and its extremely helpful staff deserves 5 stars!

We traveled to Mafia Island specifically to see the whale sharks. We went out the first day with a highly rated local tour company and did not see any whale sharks which was unusual. The next day we decided to go out with Hassan, the manager at Maisara Mafia Beach Lodge. Hassan was determined and we did in fact see whale sharks!! Hassan took such good care of us. I was so happy to see the whale sharks but I was getting tired after a few swims so I was content to stay in the boat and let my family continue swimming. After resting a bit, Hassan jumped in to see if it was a good view for me. He came back to the boat and let me know it was a great view if I was up to swimming again. I jumped back in and had the very best time! I cannot say enough good things about Hassan and everyone at the Lodge. They are all so kind and helpful. I also highly recommend the massages at Maisara Mafia Beach Lodge. Thank you Hassan and everyone at the Lodge.

Everything is curated and comfortable. Restaurant is delicious and the atmosphere in the garden under the stars is simply amazing. This place is a must if in Mafia. The room is also comfortable, mosquitoes free and clean. Hassan also organize and suggest great tours with selected guides. You can completely rely on him and his staff

Featuring garden views, Mafia Island Bungalows offers accommodation with a garden, around 6.1 km from Rufiji Mafia Kilwa Marine Reserve. excellent accommodation in utende village. the staff is super friendly, attentive and helpful. the rooms are beautifully done, breakfast is fresh, delicious and more than enough. the dinner for 12$ is reasonably priced, you get a starter, a main and drinks and it‘s delicious. keep in mind that you‘re staying in the village and not on the beach. they lend you bicycles for the 5 minute ride and the drive is really nice. if i ever return to mafia i‘d stay there again. asante tena:)

Kileleni has an outdoor swimming pool, garden, a terrace and bar in Kilindoni. The air-conditioned rooms provide a garden view and come with a desk and free WiFi. The staff are great, making sure we had the best time there. They helped organise trips out around the island putting us at ease. The rooms are spacious with WiFi and air con. The food was good too.

Set within 6.6 km of Rufiji Mafia Kilwa Marine Reserve in Kilindoni, Mgeni Homestay provides accommodation with seating area. My husband and I had a pleasant stay. The room and bathroom look exactly like in the pictures - very spacious and clean. Bunda is very kind and friendly. He prepared a very fresh and abundant breakfast for us every morning at the time we agreed upon. One day he accompanied us to the beach. The beach, airport, and city center are very close, easily and safely accessible on foot, as well as by tuk-tuk or boda-boda. Ali - the owner is also very nice and honest. He responded to all our requests very promptly. He advised us not to book the whale sharks tour until someone assures us that they have been seen the previous day.
