Wonderful staff, excellent beds and a very nice swimming pool. The chef made some very good meals and the room was very spacious and very new. The staff is also very helpful if you want to explore the island. I can highly recommend Mafia Dream Hotel if you are looking for a place at Mafia Island.

Situated in Kilindoni, 7.2 km from Rufiji Mafia Kilwa Marine Reserve, Maisara Mafia Beach Lodge features accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a private beach area and a terrace. Beautiful bungalows with a huge garden directly in front of the beach. All the bungalows have a big glass front where you can see the garden and at some locations the beach. Incredibly nice staff - try to help and accommodate wherever they can. Could change the room without problems as I needed AC to be able to sleep (March can be incredibly hot and humid). Even came back to the hotel after diving on the other side of the island. Everything seems a bit rustic as first but you will definitely fall in love with it. There is a really really nice gift shop with handicrafts on site - really nice woman from the village, definitely one to support. The locations to the beach is super close and to the left there are two more hotels you can go for dinner or a drink. People all know each other on Mafia and help you with everything! :) Breakfast is great!

Set in Utende in the Mafia Island region, kua garden cottage offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. I have no word to describe the kindness of Hassan to welcome in his garden. Everything is curated and comfortable. Restaurant is delicious and the atmosphere in the garden under the stars is simply amazing. This place is a must if in Mafia. The room is also comfortable, mosquitoes free and clean. Hassan also organize and suggest great tours with selected guides. You can completely rely on him and his staff

The service and staff were wonderful, very attentive and helpful. Free bikes so we could go into Utende which is 10 minutes away. Very nice gardens and grounds. Comfortable and nicely decorated rooms. Great food and juices. Only 2 rooms so feels boutique.

With Rufiji Mafia Kilwa Marine Reserve reachable in 6.8 km, Kitu Kiblu offers accommodation, a restaurant, a garden, a terrace and a bar. Some units feature a seating area and/or a balcony. The location was amazing when it was high tide you could go out and snorkel on the beach to the jetty the water. Has a great sunset view bar with great staff. Food was also great and quite dynamic not always the same.
