Located in Ko Samed, Blue Bay Bungalow offers beachfront accommodations a 2-minute walk from Ao Phai Beach and has facilities like a terrace and a private beach area. I stayed in the budget room, which had all the space, comfort and facilities of the expensive rooms but was further from the beach...by about 30 metres. It was also more private because there was no foot traffic. I really enjoyed my two nights here. There are many lounges around the bar area....you can stay completely shaded whilst gazing out to sea. The bar is just metres away. The drinks are slightly more expensive than other places but still reasonable, except the cocktails which I thought were too expensive. The water was very clear and free of pollution....so much better than on previous visits. They do not serve food but a very good beachside restaurant is just around the headland....five minute walk. There is also a minimart down that way. Midmorning a woman arrived on the beach with her kitchen on her back. She cooked me grilled chicken with fresh papaya salad for 120baht. It was delicious. I slept in a very comfortable king size bed. I had tea/instant coffee and a jug. I had a refrigerator and a hot shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. The staff were professional and helpful. I have travelled through Asia for more than 40 years now, always staying in more budget style accommodation. This place is a standout!

First off the property was a little bit hard to find the location that Google maps told me is literally like 2 km off of where it actually is. It’s actually a little alleyway right before the maxxis tire shop. Also, you cannot complain about the price of the hotel room ฿500 or we say $15 US per night come on you can’t do better than that. It’s not four stars but it’s not that bad. It’s actually very most likely stay there again.

Good bed, water was hot and pressure good. The room was a two-level room, it was a pleasant surprise. The view of the sea right next door was spectacular and the sound of the waves was restful to hear. From here it was also easy to go to Koh Samet for a day tour.
This is a hotel with an apartment type option. We were in the one bedroom apartment and it was amazing. The place is big and well furnished. They were able to get us a great sea view. The staff is amazing, very friendly and many of them spoke English which isn't that common in Thailand. Parking was easy and breakfast was reasonable. Restaurant has many food choices, and the beach is just across the street. There are also a few beach restaurants nearby, plus two 7 Elevens. The place has many facilities including Tennis and Bowling (at a fee).

The room is in 5th floor, can see the beach. Room is clean, toilet has shampoo, conditioner,bath cream, shower cap, cotton bud, hair dryer. bath tub. Water heater doesnot work well, rarely has warm water come out. Wifi is strong. two key cards given. all good.
Excellent location right at a beautiful white-sand beach, and if you choose to get the expensive ocean view room, apparently you get a huge balcony where you can have a bath and take a shower in open air

What a fabulous hotel! Lovely staff, lovely room, great pool, fabulous breakfast and great evening meals. And walk straight out on to the beach. The have bought lots of reclaimed doors and furniture for the reception area and inner courtyard which added charm to the place. Complimentary mint tea served in the afternoon.
