Very nice and clean and the staff is very nice and accommodating. Came during the balloon festival and enjoyed the quiet days swimming away from the crowds.

Mae Pin is a weekend gathering spot for local Thai families, and this is possibly one of the things we liked most. There are plenty of small canteens and bar/restaurants, from the most humble BBQ barrow to the more international choice. You need to bear in mind that the beach stretches for a few miles, and that it is a great experience to just be there, walk along the shore, feel the wind and hear the waves. Yes, it can be quite windy in the rainy season at least, but we never found it a problem. It added to the charm.

Stayed at the Poem hotel.
Stayed at the Poem hotel. Excellent hotel very comfortable and very nice people. Mae Pim is very nice. Good beaches and clean. Across from the hotel many good restaurants as well as a sea food market with fresh daily sea food which can also be cooked on site. Also many seating areas along the bench. Several tourist attractions about worth checking out also.

First couple of nights in Thailand was super nice. The hostes were friendly and helpful and so thoughtfull. We had some complimentary water and small snacks. The pool area was calm and water clean. You can take a nice swim at the ocean or pool or even both :D

It's an unusual, modern hotel in its design. If your room is on the top of the hill, it requires taking stairs to the lovely beach, which has a few beachside restaurants to choose from. There's also a shuttle bus to and from the beach--no stairs required. Professional staff who skillfully dealt with my initial discontent.
Older style hotel, but kept very clean and tidy. Had a huge room, and a large balcony with table and chairs, facing the beach. Good breakfast and large pool. Great location - across the road from the beach and all the fresh seafood shops and restaurants.
