Maitai Rangiroa is located between the villages of Avatoru and Tiputa, on one of the largest lagoons in the Southern Hemisphere. Great location (3 min from airport), newly renovated bungalows with spacious bedroom and comfortable bed and good fresh bathroom. Bar and restaurant are offering a great view on the sea and swimming pool. Good food with normal prices. Hotel offered also rental bikes and excursions. Just perfect to relax.

Situated in Avatoru, Te Mao has a garden, terrace, water sports facilities, and free WiFi. Each room is equipped with a balcony. I like the sea view, the quiet time to relax and snorkle. The possibilities to rent a bike and the owner being so nice driving me around to grocery store and airport.

Facing the beachfront, Raira Lagon offers 2-star accommodation in Avatoru and features free bikes, garden and private beach area. The property has a bar, as well as a restaurant serving local cuisine.... We went here for our honeymoon and also my husband's 30th birthday. The staff at Raira Lagon truly made everything as good as it could be for us, and made an amazing breakfast for my husband as I requested a surprise roomservice , thank you so much for this! The bungalow by the water is private , comfortable and beautiful! Daily cleaning, beautiful view, comfy and spacious bed, nice shower and bathroom. Everything you could wish for! Breakfast is good and is enjoyed with a lagoon view that is spectacular. Dinners are great and cocktails too, and sometimes they have traditional dancing shows by a local group which one should not miss! The snack by the hotel is also super great with tasty foods and drinks, so the availability for getting something to eat or drink is great always! The location is superb as it is close to the airport and in the middle of the main island , so you can easily get around to both ends of the island. Free bikes is a big plus!! And kayaks too. The staff also helped with booking excursions etc, which was very helpful. Will definitely come back when we visit French polynesia again! Thank you so much for making our stay amazing!!

Hinano is a fantastic host. she is extremely friendly and has the best service. She showed us around and let’s us in on some traditional cooking (poison cru), opening coconuts, et cetera.

Jeannine Lodge is situated in Avatoru and offers a private beach area. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. The location of the lodge is absolutely fantastic on Rangiroas lagoon side (regular reef shark sightings right in front of the porch!) on a quiet side street of the island. Within walking distance, one can find a small supermarket, multiple snack-style restaurants, multiple dive shops, and, more importantly, the famous Tiputa pass (there is a high chance to see dolphins directly from the shore when boats pass!). Bicycles are also provided for longer trips. It is well furnished, including a large fridge/freezer, a watercooler and an A/C. In addition, a nice selection of basic groceries (coffee, rice, juice, cream cheese, fruits, etc.) is provided on arrival. The family is genuinely warm, welcoming and happy to help out with transfers or other requests.

Set in Avatoru, Chez Tamatuamai offers accommodation with a seating area and a kitchenette. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy garden views.... Everything! The host is so incredibly kind, one of the nicest people we’ve ever met in our travels! ☺️ The bungalow/house you get is very comfortable, and large! I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island. Close to restaurants and you have a snack bar right next-door, very close to the scuba diving center because that’s probably why you’re there (like us. Right?) Don’t hesitate, book right away! 😊

Offering garden views, Monita villa Tiputa in Tiputa offers accommodation, barbecue facilities and a shared lounge. The location is amazing with direct access to the lagoon. Felix is a fantastic host. My partner and I had a wonderful stay there. Felix has been very welcoming and showed us some Tahitian customs (such as making your own coconut milk and make a raw fish plate with it).

Rangiroa Sunny House is situated in Avatoru and offers a private beach area and a garden. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. The view from this property is magnificent. You sit on the beach, water side and watch the sunset every night. The canopy of trees and the little thatched roof porch make a perfect viewing spot with your evening cocktail and music. It is really beautiful, quiet and private. We used the BBQ which was well stocked with wood and worked great (made meals on this for 4 nights). There is a stove/oven available. This is a small, charming beach house consisting of a main room (bedroom/sitting area), bathroom en suite, and kitchen open to a little porch deck. Main room is well air conditioned. Kayaks, snorkel masks, and bicycles are provided. Bed was very comfortable. Washer is new (no dryer). Internet worked great.

Blue Lagoon Villa is a recently renovated villa in Avatoru, where guests can makes the most of its pool with a view, private beach area and garden. We used to stay at a big hotel in Rangiroa, but really prefer the villa, more advantages. It has a real pool on the beach (not just a small one with no view) and the villa opens up to a stunning lagoon! The villa is large, spacious, modern, super clean, and very comfortable. We loved: - beautiful pool in front of the sea - the entire place opening up to the sea - Air conditioning in the living room, dining room, and kitchen (hard to find in Polynesia) - few small restaurants less than 5 minutes away by car and a supermarket just 3 minutes away on foot - Louis picking us up on the beach for excursions to the Blue Lagoon! - kayak trips were amazing - super comfortable beds - a private garden with no neighbors, the river, and the beach We can't wait to come back next year for two weeks this time! You have everything you need for a short stay. Shops are easily reachable. There are bikes at guests disposal to roam around the island
