Maitai Rangiroa is located between the villages of Avatoru and Tiputa, on one of the largest lagoons in the Southern Hemisphere. Great location (3 min from airport), newly renovated bungalows with spacious bedroom and comfortable bed and good fresh bathroom. Bar and restaurant are offering a great view on the sea and swimming pool. Good food with normal prices. Hotel offered also rental bikes and excursions. Just perfect to relax.

Facing the beachfront, Raira Lagon offers 2-star accommodations in Avatoru and features free bikes, garden and terrace. We went here for our honeymoon and also my husband's 30th birthday. The staff at Raira Lagon truly made everything as good as it could be for us, and made an amazing breakfast for my husband as I requested a surprise roomservice , thank you so much for this! The bungalow by the water is private , comfortable and beautiful! Daily cleaning, beautiful view, comfy and spacious bed, nice shower and bathroom. Everything you could wish for! Breakfast is good and is enjoyed with a lagoon view that is spectacular. Dinners are great and cocktails too, and sometimes they have traditional dancing shows by a local group which one should not miss! The snack by the hotel is also super great with tasty foods and drinks, so the availability for getting something to eat or drink is great always! The location is superb as it is close to the airport and in the middle of the main island , so you can easily get around to both ends of the island. Free bikes is a big plus!! And kayaks too. The staff also helped with booking excursions etc, which was very helpful. Will definitely come back when we visit French polynesia again! Thank you so much for making our stay amazing!!

We loved the location, the privacy of the bungalow, the outdoor patio, there was an option to cook and the shared spaces were also nice. Plus we loved our host Hinano, she picked us up at the airport, showed us around town, she made us breakfast every morning with care, she attended to our every need, really went out of her way to help us on occasions! We are very grateful for having the opportunity to stay here.

The location was the most perfect location on the island. The access to the ocean right behind the property is unrivaled and was beyond private and peaceful. We greatly look forward to staying here the next time we are in Rongiroa! Jeannine and her daughter were incredibly accommodating. They provided such an easy experience and they were the kindest people we have met in all of Rangiroa!

They know everyone and it was easy to book excursions through them. The bungalow is brand new. Quiet location and great A/C and kitchenette. The owners have taken alot of pride in the bungalow and it shows. Fresh passion fruit and baguette brought every morning for breakfast!

Actually we didn't have the chance to explore the town as transportation was hard to get. There were bikes to rent at the hotel for about $8/hour and the town is about 6 km from the hotel. We would probably have done it in the late afternoon if the staff didn't disprove of for safety reasons - bikes didn't have lights and it would have been hard to ride after sunset. So apart from the diving, we were kind a tied to stay in the hotel. The food was good, but the second day the variety of fish form the menu got poor. In general, Rangiroa is famous for its diving sites. If you are a diver you'll enjoy your stay.
Had a wonderful time at Moana Breeze. Marco and his family went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensured we had a great time on Rangiroa. Bikes were provided which made it easy to get around the island or to the grocery store, but Marco was always willing to give us a ride if we needed to get anywhere. We were also helped when it came to organizing excursions or day trips. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious. Would be thrilled to return one day.

This place is beautiful, very comfortable and extremely well located. I was in both of the high-end hotels on Rangiroa during my stay, and I felt that Rangiroa Cottage was just as nice. If you prefer the independence of staying in a home, then this is a far superior option. On top of that, it is much cheaper.

Very beautiful hotel with everything you could need for a great stay in Rangiroa.
Sophie (owner of the lodge who also runs it) was very helpful and an amazing host, nothing was a hassle for her. She organised for us last minute an amazing tour, which everyone else seemed to say no to. It was the best tour we’ve been on in a long time! Dinner is on a long table which makes it a nice family style. There are bikes for guests to use and paddle/kayaks all complimentary which was very nice. The beach in front of the lodge is small and we had it all to ourselves (everyone was out on excursions) which made it feel like we were in our own private little area. Thank you for the experience you have created for us!
