This was a great way to get a bit deeper into the dune sea and enjoy a world away from the usual urban hustle-bustle. There was only one other couple there on the night I stayed. The food was great and watching the sunset over the dunes was spectacular. They also arranged a camel ride at the closer-in camp, and this was also a new experience that I was looking to have while in the desert.

Great amazing place. A very helpful host who made sure our stay was varied and unique. Pleasant conversations around the campfire, admiring the stars and camels approaching the camp. Featuring panoramic views of the beach through the large glass windows, Sur Grand Hotel offers offers a relaxing roof top pool. Each room features a beautiful view of the beach. I say this from the bottom of my heart that I could not recommend another hotel more than Sur Grand Hotel! We had 2 flat tires an hour out of sur at midnight. Hotel had 24 hour reception, Hussein picked up within a few rings and was so reassuring, chartered a taxi back for us and arranged for everything the next day to help us fix our tires even though it was a weekend. Owner of hotel even came down to send his regard and make sure we were ok. Truly wonderful experience of Omani hospitality! Other than that, room was impeccable, had a free upgrade with balcony view, breakfast was sumptuous

Hotel seems very new, the room was huge, with a nice design and clean. Bathroom was also nice. the access is very easy from the main road, at the begging of Ras Al Hadd village. The person at the reception also suggested us a very good restaurant, one of the best of our stay in Oman.

Super OYO 110 Ras Al Hadd Guest House is located in Al Ḩadd, 27 km from Sur. Each room at this guest house is air conditioned and has a flat-screen TV with satellite channels. Bathroom and especially the balcony view and breeze was breathtaking
