You pay for what you get - and this place delivers on everything that’s promised. We could hike, see the animals and relax on the property inside and out. We wish we could have stayed longer. Breakfast was perfect, albeit there were small portions - but this eliminates waste. The rest was amazing!

Set in Kvaløya and only 12 km from University of Tromsø, Steam Pier offers accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. A nice place in a convenient location - both if you have a rented car or if you use public transport. As for details - I stayed in an apartment with a sea view (apartment for two people). I know the Tromsø area well, so when choosing Steam Pier I knew where it was located and how to get to places such as the airport, etc. My apartment was in the main building (let's say - "the brown one"), which is shown in the photos. The room and bathroom were very clean. Everything was ok, but I agree with other people's comments - there is a bit of a lack of storage space - if the assumption was that there was no space for a wardrobe or a chest of drawers in the room, it would be nice to equip the apartment with at least some hangers (in the apartment I lived in, there were hangers placed on the bathroom door - ok for jackets, but not enough ;)). It would probably increase the comfort during longer stays - for me (stay for 1 night) it didn't matter that much. But regardless - Steam Pier is a very nice place, with its own parking lot, and check-in is super easy. As for the views - they are one of the biggest advantages:) I recommend!

Stunning location, peaceful & quiet. If you’re lucky enough on a clear day it’s perfect to see the northern lights. Extremely spacious apartment with all basic amenities included. Only advice would be is to rent a car from the airport which is easy & affordable as taxis cost a fortune to get to the city/ airport & public transportation is scarce.

Set 11 km from University of Tromsø, Cozy apartment close to nature, Kvaloya. Offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The location is within a 5-minute walking distance from Stroleva Skistadion and a beautiful hike to Rødtinden mountain. If you like spending your time actively, it's a perfect place. The apartment was waiting for us with a key in the door so we could enter it whenever we wanted. The kitchen was fully equipped, including basic seasoning, olive oil, tea, baking paper, and plastic bags. The host was very responsive whenever we needed something.
