I loved Ometepe and Moyogalpa with its colorful houses, clean with a countryside feel. Mari the owner was absolutely so lovely. The nicest Nicaragua woman I have met so far. Always happy to answer our countless questions. Love the staff there too. The kitchen had everything you needed to make a good meal and it was always clean. I slept really well as it was extremely quiet at night. I really miss Mari and Her staff were so friendly too. If I ever go back to Ometepe I am staying at Casa de Gio. Thank you Mari and your staff and family.

This place is a one of a kind gem in Ometepe. The food is amazing, the location is perfect (the lake is at the end of the lane if you want a quick dip) and it’s conveniently next to both shops and restaurants. The beautiful art that is characteristic of Lazy Crab is incredible, it made the vibe of the hostel relaxing and it was offset by the fireflies that are visible from the terrace in the evening. The owner was helpful, caring and was happy to share tips for the best places to visit on the Island. I will definitely be returning.

I loved everything about this place, highly recommend the Permaculture Tour to learn the reason to every detail. It felt great to know that I were staying in a solar powered, water saving, farm to table hostel and that my being a tourist was not harming Ometepe Island. Hoped that I could always choose place like this during my travels... The highlights for me were: - Gorgeous green nature everywhere - Food - salads!!! Finally good some greens! - Pizza - Compost toilets - Natural buildings - Yoga classes

location was right by the ferry port and close to quite a few restaurants and a grocery store! I stayed for three nights because of how wonderful and chill the atmosphere was. The staff and owners are so friendly and the hostel itself is so colourful and comfortable. There are so many places to relax, a kitchen to cook in and the rooms are a great temperature at night. if you’re looking for a place to stay in Ometepe or just passing through Moyogalpa, I would totally recommend staying here!

This was our favourite place to stay in Nicaragua. It was so good we actually returned to Ometepe for an extra 5 nights of pure relaxation! We are backpacking around Central America and loved how homely this accommodation was. The rooms are so nice, clean and excellent value. The grounds are maintained beautifully and there is a lovely pool to rest by, perfect after climbing Volcan Concepcion. The staff are so helpful and friendly. WiFi is also perfect for a bit of remote working!

Amazing place. The hostel is great quality for money, really close to the city. It's a relaxed vibe and the staff are incredible. I hurt my foot while I was on Ometepe, and even though I didn't ask, the staff offered me all kinds of help. They drove me to the hospital and back and helped with other things too. They even drove me to catch my ferry at 6am. I really really recommend this hostal. I know I will be back here next time I'm in ometepe.

Very clean, excellent, friendly and efficient staff. Facilitated scooter rental and had it delivered to hotel. Great breakfast. Rooms are very spacious and clean. They are bungalow style and far away from main area for complete privacy. Amazing view of volcán Concepción every morning. Great place to stay in Ometepe. I was there for three nights Karlysa and Reina will take good care of you with their smiles, warmth and kindness. Highly recommended.

I stay Moyogalapa and Merida, well, Moyogalapa is convient because of its location, but I would more like to recommend Merida, this is the real ometepe island. You gotta be come here to stay couples of days, see what local people do, feel the peace vibe in countyside, enjoy the sunset lying in a homock. You will love it. hostel runs a suf club, they can offer professional service with guide. staff are nice person, also, the food here is so good.

Far away from the daily hectic, Finca La Magia is a perfect place to relax and explore the island of Ometepe. Although the little lodge is pretty basic with an outdoor shower and toilet, you hear only the sound of nature in the night. The owners Delfa and Victor made our stay unforgettable. Especially the homemade food is one of the best in whole Nicaragua.

Amazing apartment with a huge bed and a lot of space. It was very handy to repack our luggage. Very good breakfast for a good price. Kind staff. Great garden. Two lovely dogs and a cool cat. You need go have a off road vehicle (but imo it is very handy for the rest of ometepe as well). There is nothing we didn't like. It was super!

Staff were great, food at the hotel was good - especially the local honey! The staff were more than happy to organise taxis (which are generally expensive on Ometepe regardless) for you. The pool has incredible views of the volcano, and the main lodge was incredibly relaxing with a well stocked and reasonably priced bar

The gallo pinto and the pancakes served at Bullshark has to be the best around, and I've had lots of gallo pinto in Nicaragua. Tatiana, Hector, and Gabriel were very helpful and kind. The hostel had a very relaxed atmosphere and felt a familial vibe at Bullshark. This is the place to stay if you're in Ometepe.

Learned this was one of the original hostels on Ometepe. Breakfasts and dinners were freshly prepared with local ingredients. Their dogs and cats were very nice to spend time with. The hosts can lease scooters and deliver them for competitive prices. Communication with host prior to and during stay was excellent.

Good location. Walking distance to many nice restaurants in central town. Owner is fantastically friendly and helpful. Clean. Communal kitchen and fridge. We stayed for 5 nights which was a decent amount of time to see Ometepe. Renting a motorcycle or scooter is more or less required to do stuff on the island.

Carlos was great and helped arrange a ferry reservation for our truck. Xalli Beach Hotel is the perfect location away from the hustle and bustle of Motogylpa, but close enough to restaurants and activities. The room was clean and the free breakfast was awesome. Thanks for an awesome stay on Ometepe.

This hostel was amazing! It brought healthy living & eating with that touch of conscious & spiritual community (singing circle) vibe. What an incredible place to stay. I will definitely come back to stay here when I come back to Ometepe. The staff, food, and cacao were incredible!

Very relaxing, quiet and the couple who owns the place were exceptional, bringing delicious breakfast every day, fresh fruit and juices and happy to chat with me and help with my Spanish skills. I really enjoyed staying here and would book again in an instant if I come back to Ometepe.

Perfect location on Ometepe. Staff are all a family and all lovely to chat to. Room very basic but as expected for the price. Easy to organise scooter rental with them, and also lovely breakfast in the morning for a small extra cost. Beautiful chill out areas with hammocks etc

We loved our stay! José helped us to rent the scooter, gave us informations about the activities in Ometepe and found us a guide for the volcano. The room get cleaned everyday and the kitchen was well furnished! One of best place to stay in Nicaragua for sure

Perfect stay in Ometepe! The owners really just let us feel like home! They help us with everything we ask also to plan the next days around Nicaragua and I definitely recommend the breakfast because is simply delicious! Was a pleasure to stay there
