The little cottages were so charming, colorful, well kept. We loved the free roaming chickens and turkeys. Cats and dogs, beautiful stone pathways leading down to the small beach.

We had an amazing stay here and it was really hard to leave. Hector is an extremely kind host, and the food right across the street is incredible. We stayed in July and Playa Santa Cruz was really quiet and a great place to be.

Learned this was one of the original hostels on Ometepe. Breakfasts and dinners were freshly prepared with local ingredients. Their dogs and cats were very nice to spend time with. The hosts can lease scooters and deliver them for competitive prices. Communication with host prior to and during stay was excellent.

The location is beautiful!! Beach huts are clean, comfortable and cozy. The lake is on your doorstep with views of the volcano to your right and a great sunset bar to your left. An island paradise with lovely dogs, chickens, a cat, ducks along with a friendly and helpful owner. Scooter access is 100% okay! There is a restaurant next door but if you want to go to others it’s a close 10min drive. Look no further and stay here!

The view here is just gorgeous and the staff are super kind and helpful. The air conditioning worked great and the shower had hot water and good pressure. On site restaurant was easy and convenient, food and drinks were good.

Nice size studio room with a kitchen that worked really well. I LOVED the terrace and ate breakfast there every day with the lake and volcano view. The breakfast was always so filling and healthy.
