Host and his staff was so welcoming to Al guests, hotel and campers. Best I have encountered in my travels. Rooms were so clean and comfortable. The balcony view over the lake is just wonderful, especially at sunrise . Their restaurant was such a bonus, fresh foods, coffee, breakfast. There is a lakefront promenade to the town center. Sunrise Hotel and Campground is a special location/experience. Highly recommended.

Ohrid is amazing, so cheap for everything, lake is beautiful, old town is stunning and fortress is a must see. Best thing to do is to climb up magaro as from the top you can see both lake ohrid and lake prespa. I highly recommend going here.
Lunch at #VilaRadozda was as delightful as always! A warm welcome, delicious food, breathtaking scenery from the terrace, cozy and relaxed atmosphere ... Away from the city crowd, but easily reachable by a short drive. You can even dock your boat, and hop onto the terrace to enjoy a great meal. If you visit during the winter, you will only miss the beautiful flowers outside. Everything else is the same - warm, cozy, tasty. The price range is way below the prices in the city, or the other side of the lake. Restaurants in Radozhda are famous for fish - trout, carp and belvica (endemic to Lake Ohrid), and a special garlic paste, called makalo. Thank you Irena! I will be visiting again soon!

Ohrid is a charming city set upon the banks of the picturesque Lake Ohrid. The old town is especially quaint with its traditional buildings and historic churches. Dine at the lakes edge with good food and drink for low prices whilst swans float past. Boat trips are a must here so you can take in the panorama or visit saint naum monastery.
Macedonia - Lake Ohrid is just a hidden oasis of a gem. People, food, in fact everything is beautiful. Everyone is friendly and helpful and there is plenty to explore in and around the Lake and surrounding areas, lots of monuments, churches, museums, Bay of the Bones, St Naum and much more. Great choice of foods and all freshly cooked. Taxi's are cheap and it's just as great to explore everywhere in Ohrid by foot.
Lake Ohrid is perfect for a getaway from the city, great for relaxing, eating and swimming. The landscapes are beautiful, there are lots of good restaurants with local food, some of them more touristy and pricier than others, but in general everything is very cheap. Most of the people I've talked to speak English and it's very easy to find English menus. Hiking up to the Church of St. John is a must. Be careful at the bus station, because they charge a fee to "check you in" before getting in the bus (something like 50-100 MKD), so save a few dinars before leaving Macedonia.
Lake Ohrid is a relatively undiscovered gem. Since wages in Mak(!)edonia are less than 1/6 of the Western European salaries, prices are also cheap once you are there. For 30 euros a night, we could get a room with magnificient, romantic lake view in high season in 2017. The rooms we saw were all clean, people are friendly. The lake is at 700 meters above sea level, and has a temperature of 24 degrees Celsius in July. The water is very clean. If you are into hiking, there are plenty of high mountains around the lake. You cam also cross into Albania, to experience a little different way of life. To summarize, Ohrid is a perfect and cheap place for a wonderful honeymoon. The few tour guides write that Skopje - Ohrid is 90 euros by taxi. We got it for 50 euros. But 2 bus tickets cost 15 euros, and the bus ride is not slower (3 1/2 hours) and more comfortable. It is a better deal to fly into Ohrid directly.
Lake Ohrid is the oldest and deepest lake in Europe, it is 4 million years and 288 meters deep. It also has over 200 unique species, which are no longer found anywhere in the world, both the lake and the city were declared UNESCO heritage in 1979. Great city center, wonderful attractions, plenty restaurants to eat very good and cheap food. Definetely a MUST while in Macedonia
A unique historic location, a Unesco site, wide choice of restaurants and accomodation right on the shores of the beautiful lake Ohrid surrounded by wooded mountains. Churches, archeology including an ancient amphitheatre, cobbled streets with artisans creating hand-made paper, filigree silver, Ohrid pearls and much more. Unspoilt by overdevelopment and notable for the temperate climate & friendly hospitable locals. Excellent freshly made food including the renowned Lake Ohrid trout complemented with a good range of Macedonian wines. Fascinating boat trip across the lake to the monastery and floating dining experience of Saint Naum.
A pleasant town on Lake Ohrid, well worth a few days or more. There are some beach areas, lots of cafes and plenty of pretty little streets to wander. Boat rides are available. Very budget friendly.

I had an amazing experience at this apartment in Lagadin. The location was perfect, with easy access to nearby attractions and lake Ohrid. The apartment itself was clean, cozy, and well-maintained. The host was super friendly and accommodating, making me feel right at home. I especially loved the comfortable bed, the fully loaded and usable kitchen and the stunning view from the balcony. Overall, it was a fantastic stay and I highly recommend this apartment to anyone visiting the area!

We loved Villa Velestovo! It captured us right from the start. Perfect, quiet location with an amazing view of Lake Ohrid, from all the apartments with beautifuly arranged surrounding where we could relax complitely. The apartment was cozy and clean and we were happy to find a very detailed guide of the villa and activities in the area. We will definitely come back (even in winter months, to try also the sauna the Villa is offering). All our recommendations for the Villa and the hosts.

The apartment was spotlessly clean, well equipped and has a stunning view over lake Ohrid. It is in the old town which is quiet and calm, even in August. It was only five minutes walk down to the lake to swim, and there is a shop, cafe and excellent restaurant close by. Cveta was a kind and welcoming host, she provided lots of information on the local area, and even did our laundry. I really recommend this place to anyone looking for peaceful break in lovely Ohrid.

Gorgeous, very recently renovated villa hotel. The rooms and bathrooms were very generously sized and the balcony was brilliant. The walk in shower was huge and it had glass skylights above it so you felt like you were showering outside. Absolutely stunning elevated location near the castle with gorgeous views over Lake Ohrid. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly. They allowed us to check in early, stored our belongings and arranged an airport transfer.
The apartment exceeds in all areas. Better than in pictures. Large in size, sleeps 4 comfortably, has all items necessary at your disposal. Great large balcony overlooking lake ohrid, communication with the host was excellent and she is such a caring and friendly person. Highly recommended. The beach has a good vibe. Cuba liner 15 min walk, cbd 25 mins. Sun-beds are for rent at $5. Highly recommended
Lake Ohrid is one of the most beautiful places on earth and this hotel is located on the less touristy side, near a charming village with a rock temple. The hotel is extremely comfortable, with nice toom overlooking the lake, beautiful infinity pool, good restaurant. Great place to stay for a relaxing holiday, and the nearby towns are easy to reach with a bus or taxi.
Well-equipped and comfortable apartment with great views over Lake Ohrid from the terrace. Good location for those wanting to be out of the city but still within easy reach. Very grateful to the owner and family who really went out of their way to provide me helpful local information and even sorted out assistance on my behalf when my car got a flat tyre!
Apartment is very nice and location is great, with nice view of lake Ohrid. Highly recommend. Marijana is very nice and helpful. She sent me directions for checking in, which I didn't see until I was already in Ohrid, so there was some confusion, but that was my fault. We ate at her restaurant the first night, which was also very nice.

Mario and his Dad were really welcoming and answered questions in advance of our arrival. The studio apartment was great with a big bed and strong shower in a super central location. A balcony with a view of the lake overlooked the street and one of the many churches in Lake Ohrid. Really enjoyed our stay and didn't want to leave!
Like many other hotels, Vila Bisera is located at the foothills of Lake Ohrid in a short, albeit steep, walking distance to the lake with several beach bars to choose from. Vila Bisera provides stunning views of the lake from some of its rooms, several pools to choose from and an abundant breakfast.

The property is situated in a stunning location with beautiful views of Lake Ohrid. The terrace was pleasant, though it wasn’t separated from the neighboring apartment, which could have been an issue. Fortunately for us, no one was staying next door during our visit, so we enjoyed it undisturbed.

The apartmenthouse is a bit far from the old town, at the beach of Lake Ohrid. Our apartment was clean and spacious, with well equipped kitchen and a small terace. Breakfast is available in the next building for 6,5 euro. Restaurants are 25 min on foot.
