The morning market is at your doorstep and the night market just steps away at the end of the street. The hotel front desk was helpful above and beyond. A bunch of us were having troubles booking a train. Our front desk guy was able to manage booking the train and taxi within minutes. I wish I knew his name, because he was a spectacular host. He always went out of his way to be so helpful. If anything, stay here for the kind and very friendly staff.

Luang Prabang e' l'antica capitale del Laos, affacciata sul Mekong. Vi si respira un'atmosfera coloniale raffinata (c'erano i francesi), un forte misticismo buddista, musei e shop interessanti, una quiete ormai difficile da trovare. Credo sia il posto piu' affascinante di tutto il Sudest asiatico (forse per questo il piu' costoso). Ma una volta nella vita vale la pena di andarci
Un vero gioiellino,da visitare i suoi stupendi ed antichi Wat,molto bello anche il mercato notturno,dove potete fare i vostri acquisti etnici. Chi va nel Laos,non può non andare a Luang Prabang
Solo dopo esserci stati si può capire perchè Luang Prabang è patrimonio dell'Unesco. Posto tranquillissimo dove ci si può letteralmente ubriacare di religiosità buddhista, arte, cultura e principalmente di attrazioni naturalistiche, una più bella dell'altra! Un posto certamente da visitare più approfonditamente!
Il Laos è un piccolo paese in crescita, la criminalità praticamente inesistente, il tempo ha una dimensione diversa e anche se piove è comunque rilassante , uno dei pochi posti dove tornerei una seconda volta, non mancate una gita sul Mekong possibilmente su barche private . Luang Prabang è ricca di templi da visitare e con una buona guida ( anche in inglese lo parlano molto bene) il fascino aumenta notevolmente. Abbiamo mangiato al Manda de Lao , romantico e buono . Per gli spostamenti usate i Tuc Tuc , non economici come nel resto dell' oriente ma pratici ed abbondanti. Una visita al night market vi farà conoscere in mezzo alle inevitabili magliette stampate anche qualcosa del loro vero artigianato locale.
Unfortunately I arrived a day late due to landslides between vang viang and Luang Prabang so just got 1 day there. It's totally centered on tourism but has a very laid back atmosphere. There are a lot of cute bars and restaurants and loads of street food to choose from. I'm sorry I didn't stay longer!
La cittadina di Luang Prabang offre ogni tipo di attrazione, shopping al mercato notturno e nella miriade di negozietti, attivita sportiva come kayak, bicicletta, trekking sulle colline e e visita ai villaggi tribali, templi antichi e intatti, ville coloniali francesi, grotte, gita sul Mekong. Ottima cucina per ogni portafoglio. Caldo di giorno, fresco di sera, affascinante!
Purtroppo avevamo solo un giorno e mezzo a Luang Prabang, ma la cittadina è un incanto. Il miglior consiglio è di perdersi tra le stradine scoprendo templi e scorci sui fiumi. Da vedere il palazzo reale, interessante una passeggiata nel mercato al mattino per vedere i prodotti locali (non è per turisti) mentre per lo shopping il mercato della sera è il luogo ideale. La mattina presto c’è la questua dei monaci buddisti, purtroppo disturbata da tanti turisti maleducati. Io consiglio di andarci almeno una mattina, ma scegliete una via laterale e non disturbate i monaci anche se altri lo fanno.
Luang Prabang è una città che ha qualcosa di magico,tra i templi, i bistrot di stile francese, le vecchie case coloniali e la natura ci si sente catapultati in un'altra era.
Luang Prabang, come tutto il Laos, è una destinazione per viaggiatori e non per turisti, ovvero non è adatta per coloro che non riescono a lasciare a casa le proprie abitudini. Un viaggio è principalmente incontro con culture e persone diverse, quindi se riuscirete ad aprirvi a nuove esperienze e nuove conoscenze, il Laos è forse una delle poche mete al mondo ancora perseguibili, al di fuori delle rotte del turismo di massa. I costi (dormire, mangiare, spostarsi) sono assolutamente a buon mercato ed è facilissimo riuscire a godersi il viaggio in tutta tranquillità. A Luang P. c'è anche un interessante Night Market dove poter mangiare (anche se io ho preferito i mille ristorantini lungo il Mekong) ma soprattutto dover poter trovare la maggiore e più conveniente offerta di oggetti d'artigianato. Consiglierei infatti di organizzare il viaggio in Laos riservandosi L.P. come meta finale, al fine di non doversi caricare troppo il bagaglio di acquisti. Fare alcune escursioni nei dintorni vi farà conoscere una natura spettacolare e ancora poco contaminata dal turismo di consumo. Buon vento a tutti
A luang prabang sono stato a pranzo al epoca caffè ristorante gestito da un signore spagnolo e dalla moglie thailandese persone molto gentili cucina ottima gustato una burrata eccezionale da ritornarci
l'hotel è situato in una via laterale tranquilla, ma vicina alle principali attrazioni di Luang Prabang. Personale gentile (nonostante una dimenticanza iniziale) e possibilità di prenotare escursioni. Molto buona la colazione preparata al momento. E' una struttura molto semplice ma pulita, ottima wifi e prodotti da bagno (bagnoschiuma, shampoo, spazzolino, dentifricio) inclusi
Un vero boutique hotel nel centro di Luang Prabang, curato dove ci si sente coccolati. Camera spaziosa, così come il bagno. Letto comodo e scenografico. Cinque biciclette a disposizione perché sono il mezzo migliore per girare la città. Colazione di altissima qualità e curata. Una parola a parte per lo staff, attento e premuroso. Assolutamente da tornare.
Bellissimo hotel molto caratteristico situato sulla riva del Mekong. Camera molto bella e pulita dotata di tutti i comfort. Personale super disponibile e gentilissimo. Se mai dovessi tornare a Luang Prabang sicuramente soggiornerei qui nuovamente. Raccomandatissimo.

Ho trascorso tre giorni a Luang Prabang e ho avuto un problema di salute ma grazie a Woo il gestore dell'ostello la casa ho avuto assistenza e la possibilità di raggiungere l'ospedale. Woo è gentilissimo e molto disponibile. Assolutamente raccomandabile

If you are looking for a quiet hotel just outside of the city center — this is the place. The property is gorgeous and well-maintained. Taking a dip in the pool after a long travel day was incredibly relaxing. The staff were exceptional and incredibly helpful throughout my stay — special thanks to Poy and Kam. I recommend enjoying the happy hour at Le Bistrot and taking in a view of the sunset over the river. Breakfast was included with my room and the buffet was great with a nice selection of options. The view from the terrace overlooking the river could not be beat. All in all, I had a great stay and wish I could have stayed longer.

Beautiful room. Lots of greenery around, quite calm and relaxing. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely. We enjoyed having drinks and snacks at the restaurant. Free shuttle to town to check out the night market. We even walked to town from the hotel, which was quite enjoyable. Lovely views from our room.

The hotel is very centrally located yet serene inside and the room was well laid out with a nice balcony view to the hills. The staff were very friendly and kind - particular thanks to James (x2), Amber, Mone and Yang who were all very helpful making sure our stay was comfortable. They organised trips for us to the caves and waterfall as well as providing a complimentary buggy service to restaurants. The Mekong Sunset Cruise led by Asri was an absolute highlight and a must do. Last but not least, the breakfast quality and service was outstanding.
Spectacular property with a waterfall and river running through the property. Each suite is beautifully designed by renowned architect and interior designer Bill Bensley. The gardens are well kept and the pool area has lots of private areas for use. Restaurant and bar areas are amazing. All staff are courteous, cheerful and on hand to assist with your every need.
The rooms are very comfortable...great location...
