The rooftop spa facilities were nicer than I expected, with indoor and outdoor pools, a sauna, and a cold plunge. The breakfast was really nice, with local ingredients and dishes mixed in. Room was larger than expected, with a great view of Mount Iwate when the clouds allowed, with a bright bathroom and powerful shower. Check-in is at 14.00, an hour or two earlier than at most hotels in Japan, and the location is unbeatable: the hotel is attached to the train station and next to local buses. It's also connected to a shopping centre, with a bakery that opens fast 07.00, meaning you can nip down and bring a breakfast back up to the comfort of your room. Staff speak English and are professional and pleasant.
The location was amazing as it was very close to the station. Furthermore, you can see the amazing view of Mt. Iwate from just outside the hotel. Although the rooms were a bit small, they were pretty clean and comfortable. The support from the staff during check-in and check-out was very good too.

The hotel is huge, lobby area is grand! It's right in front of Gosho Lake and Iwate Mountain, a perfect view from you room. Onsen is really good, as well as the free skincare. The staffs are all nice. We are also very lucky to see a free night show of Iwate Ken's traditional dance :)
I always stay with family in Iwate, and this was the first time I stayed at a hotel. It was clean, breakfast included great options and was very helpful to have! There is a combini across the street, staff were friendly and helpful, plus the baths on the ground floor were great.
Hachimantai
The host and hostess were very friendly, and made me feel welcome despite me not speaking Japanese. The food was cooked with obvious care, and the room was spotless. The Onsen was great for relaxing. The location was close to Mount Iwate skiing and hiking areas.
The hotel is very well situated at one end of the restaurant strip in Morioka. The west facing rooms have beautiful views of the snow covered mountains in winter. It is a one hour’s drive, or less, to at least five of Iwate prefecture’s ski resorts.
The hotel was close to the rock-splitting cherry tree and Iwate Park. Breakfast was delicious and decent in terms of Muslim-friendliness - the grilled mackerel was delicious (assuming it didn't contain mirin). Check out was quite fast.
Most friendly and helpful staff. Always with a smile. Hotel is really close to Iwate Park which was perfect for our visiting during cherry blossom. Go visit Chillin Music Bar for an evening when around. Great experience
The hotel is close to train station and service is good. We arrived early and staff help to keep and send our luggage to hotel room when it was ready. The view from our room was also nice, can see Mount Iwate.
The check-in staff fulfilled my request for a room facing Mt Iwate.

Friendly and welcoming hospitality. The location was fabulous and the rooms were clean. Delicious array of dishes for the buffet. We really enjoyed the New Year’s Day firework exhibit and the fact that we could access the slopes straight from the hotel✨
Staff was very patient and friendly. Room and provided pajamas were comfortable.
Check in and out was really easy and most of the staff had a relatively good command of English. The half board had some unique dishes (e.g. we had a swordfish dish for dinner) and the food was really good. The staff also took the time to tell us what each dish was in English! The room also had a really good view!
