Great cabin style properties. Nice, clean and cosy room but also spacious for a couple. Restaurant for breakfast and dinner was also really good. Tasty food for dinner and great selection for breakfast. You can even watch the cows being milked and can go say hello and get a closer experience. Overall really great little spot to stay while driving around Iceland as a stop over for the night.

Very nice place in an amazing part of Iceland. The host was very friendly and came to see if everything is OK. The place is magnificent and the house is fully equipped (fridge, oven, washing machine... exactly what we needed at half of our journey). You can prepare your own supper / breakfast and eat on the patio or inside with a view on the lake. We did the Diamond Circle from here and the ash volcano across the road 😉 Don't worry about the small flies... they are harmless and all over the Myvatn region... nothing to do with this very place . Located within 2.6 km of Myvatn Nature Baths, Birkilauf in Myvatn has a number of amenities, including lake and mountain views. Evrything was more then we expected. The owner offered everything we need for preparing breakfast, which was not included. A full kitchen for cooking every other meal, including oil, spices, etc. Washing machine for free and much more! We felt at home

Overlooking Lake Mývatn, this camping site offers cottages with wooden floors, a private bathroom and a terrace. very spacious, clean and tidy. Nice environment, comfortable bed.
