The level of service I received has been the best so far in my time in India. They are very attentive and are extremely hospitable. The food was great, the room was perfect! It’s clean, beds are comfortable, there’s hot water for the shower, the place is in a great location. I strongly recommend this hotel and I would definitely visit again. If you are traveling from outside of India, be aware that booking.com does not pay the properties.. Credit or debit cards may not work either so just be prepared to pay cash just in case. Also, be aware that there are taxes added to the amount it shows on this site, which is understandable but just good to know when you arrive. There are plenty of ATMs around the area and lots to do. I wanted to explore the beauty of Meghalaya and the hotel staff recommended an amazing driver who I strongly recommended as well. His name is Kitbok, make sure to ask for him as he is knowledgeable about the area!

Everything beautiful lies away from Shillong , you may stay in Shillong as your base but make everyday as an excursion day to visit various nature and scenic spots. There is no restaurant with any authentic food of specific area but we tried City hut Dhaba and Quizine which are decent places for eat, there are others like them. It is a capital of Meghalaya and one meets the people of the North East about whom we knew little, it helps to know them better.

Meghalaya is like paradise, extremely beautiful with abundant nature. The weather was perfect and it's a very safe place for tourists as well. I am looking forward to my next vacation in Shillong.
I travelled with my boyfriend. Shillong has good restaurants and cafes. I had good Bastenga curry at Centre point hotel. I also had great Manipuri food in a restaurant, name of which I don’t recall. We heard great live music in Cafe Shillong. Most of the restaurants in Shillong will never disappoint you in terms of flavour. I loved everything I consumed in all of Meghalaya. One would love it if she/he appreciates both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. Apart from food, I expected Shillong city to be clean. However, I was a bit disappointed to find the city very dirty. Most of the drains were open, and walls were tainted with spit. This was especially the case in Police Bazar.
Shillong is like a centre point to explore Meghalaya. One can plan for honeymoon there too. There are so many places to visit there. Cherrapuji is most popular among them. Adventure lovers can explore double decker root bridge, caves. A 5-6 days tour will be in your memory forever.

I would recommend to anyone wishing to travel to Meghalaya. The owner was amazing, he drove us to all the local sights and was always available help. He is one of the most genuine people we have met during our 6 weeks travelling India. He will make your stay in Meghalaya extremely easy and we will without doubt contact him if we come back to meghalaya. The rooms were clean and tidy and the local Kasi food prepared was exceptional.

I came back to the place just after 3 days stay in 2 other hotel/stays in Meghalaya. The staff is by far more polite than other places.The room is clean, has extra quilt, has room heater and proper hot water to shower. Breakfast was simple but nice.

Finally we had a nice shower and a toilette according to western standards. We chose the Polo Orchid for the last night in Meghalaya and enjoyed the comfort. We had a nice view into the valley and the planes of Bangladesh

This is this best hotel in shillong (near police bazar). Manager and their staff always ready to help you. Thier food quality is genuinely best in entire shillong. Thier hotel is spacious, comfortable and hygienic. It is a vegetarian hotel so all vegetarian must visit the hotel. You will surely love the hotel and their staff for years.
