Theres nothing to dislike about this great city, however some highlights would be watching Leinster play (even if you did stuff my home team), visiting Kilmainham Jail and the amazing Phoenix Park.
The Mount Leinster drive is excellent. Redmond's pub is very friendly and Joe is an excellent host. Plenty of scenic walks , the town is very quiet. Altamount gardens are very nice .
A lovely town with very welcoming people so friendly and helpful will definitely visit again in the near future. Mount Leinster was worth the visit the scenery and views were breathtaking.
Arts festival Dolmen largest in Europe River Barrow walks Mount Leinster way -south Carlow great for hill walking You will need a car Good pubs/restaurants
We were in Dublin to Watch Munster play Leinster. Would have loved to stay longer but flights from the UK prevented this. But we still had a great time despite the result. Lots to see and do in Dublin great food great people and above all great beer.
So much to see and do! Leinster house, National Galllery, National Library, Trinity Colllege, Stephens Green, Theatres, city bus tours all within walking distance of the Davenport Hotel.
Naas has good restaurants and lively night life. Good base to visit Leinster and Midlands. Near kikdare village outlet, national stud and 40 min from Dublin Airport. Recommend The Candied Walnut and The Ivy pub
Fabulous stadium and atmosphere for the Chiefs v Leinster game. Bit confusing how to get to your seat and seemed to be sent around 75% of the stadium to get in but what a stadium. Give yourself time and you will love it.
Top places of interest for us was Guinness Storehouse and Croke Park tours. Dublin is so well signposted you cannot get lost!!. We strolled through St Stephens Green and went to Leinster House. Visited the National Gallery ...and the Famine Exhibition in Dublin Castle. Not to be missed. Had some lovely lunch in the Kilkenny shop and nice pizzas in Toscana in Dame Street. Loads more to do!!
Maynooth
I was in Maynooth for an intensive driving course at Leinster Driving Campus, so the location of this accommodation was perfect for that. The college campus is lovely. The apartment was clean and staff at reception very friendly. Maynooth is a very nice town and this accommodation is only a few minutes walk to the town centre. I had a very pleasant stay and would stay here again if I had reason to come to Maynooth again outside of college term time.
Historic hotel from the 1880’s right by Leinster House, the National Library and National Archeological Museum. This is a warm, welcoming hotel complete with a fireplace in the public sitting area that feels as cozy as your own living room. Also has its own restaurant and pub. Fantastic place to stay!
The Leinster was the perfect location for our stay as my wife ran the Dublin Marathon. From the hotel it was easy to get to start and to get back to hotel from finish. The breakfast of the hotel was superb! Modern hotel!

Clean, comfortable, wonderful staff.
Everything absolutely everything was lovely so comfortable food was great and so comfortable!!! Will definitely be returning such a Christmas feeling so much hard work went in to making this property so amazing and special for Christmas thank you
Spa facilities were amazing, food in the bar was good.
Wonderful with a lot of options
Very relaxing to have a couple of nights at a lovely castle hotel. Check in was easy with friendly staff. The room was very nice, clean and the bed comfortable. It's a very quiet location and although the weather wasn't great, we walked around the outer edge of the island (takes about 1½ hours at a steady pace and very little traffic noise from the mainland). We ate in the restaurant the first evening and you couldn't fault the food although we did get the slight impression that the meal was slightly biased to quantity rather than quality. Very nice stay overall
We had an amazing night away. Celebrating my mams 60th. Service was exceptional very friendly and helpful. We will return
Amazing property and staff that is incredibly welcoming and will to accommodate requests. Would stay again and again. Only downside is not much in the area, drove an hour or so to Waterford and Kilkenny.
Stayed in room 501 and WiFi worked in the hallway but not in the room. Front desk said “too bad”.
Stunning property with amazing staff.
Easy access and parking. Rooms were clean, large and comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was fantastic and we stayed for a sneaky late tipple at the bar which had plenty of cosy quiet corners to catch up with friends. Lovely all round.
The best short holiday we ever had! My whole family and I, including my 3 months old baby had the best staycation we ever had. The hotel and facilities are so amazing. It deserves 4-5 stars! Staffs are excellent and so friendly. Definitely will come back again in the future. Highly recommended!
