We ended up at Kettles unexpectedly and last minute after a breakdown near Lusk on our way back to Derry from Cork on New Year’s Day! We were very lucky to get a room at a very reasonable price last minute and had a happy and comfortable stay after what had been a very stressful experience. The staff in the bar and restaurant in particular were fantastic, they just couldn’t have been nicer - particularly the woman on breakfast duty the next morning. We didn’t get her name but it was the morning of January 2nd - a lovely person and so helpful, especially with accommodating some allergies that I have. If we find ourselves in the area again under happier circumstances we’d be happy to return to Kettles.
Just a 5-minute drive from Dublin Airport, Forty Four Main Street offers elegant guest rooms in the village of Swords, which dates back over 1,400 years.
Carefully restored to retain the character of the original Roganstown House, this is a magnificent Georgian house on the 300-acre Roganstown Estate. It boasts an AA Rosette award-winning restaurant.
Featuring a garden and a terrace, The Old Borough Hotel - Wetherspoon is located in Swords, a 10-minute drive from Dublin Airport and a 1-minute walk from Swords Castle.

Having family here is the main reason for coming to swords, however it’s a lovely place with so much going on. From swords castle to the pavilion, if you fancy abit of shopping and not far from the beaches. It’s so close to the airport which makes it very convenient when you can be at your end destination in left than 40 minutes after landing. If you want to go into the city centre, hopping onto a bus is very simple.

Not for the faint of heart.
Not for the faint of heart. This property ranks at the top of the scale. Immaculate and beautifully appointed in every way. We had the deluxe king room. There is a shared kitchen with private fridges for each guest room loaded with enough food and snacks for a great breakfast. Gillian and Paschal are super hosts.

Where I stayed at in Swords was right across from the Swords pavilion, which was a very large mall that had different restaurants so it met my needs perfectly. I did not walk or ride around Swords. I basically spent more time in Dublin City. But what I did see of Swords, I would definitely recommend that it’s like a nice little cozy town.

It was busier and bigger than I expected but offered all needed. The Swords Express Bus service works really well. You need exact coins as no change nor card facilities are offered on the bus. Swords is the perfect destination for exploring the area; being close to the airport and for frequent trips into Dublin. It also gives easy access to the Motorway if you wish to explore a further afield.

We chose the Old Borough Hotel because it was easy distance to the airport. We have been to Wetherspoons on many occasions so know what to expect meals/drinks wise etc. Was super impressed with the hotel accommodation.

if like me you need this for a layover at Dublin Airport, don't choose this one. It's not on a bus route or walkable so you have to take a cab, which added $20 to my stay. The curtains didn't close all the way and I happened to be on the first floor looking directly at peoples cars. One of only two USB ports didn't work but thankfully one did so I could set an alarm and make it to the airport on time.

Kettles is a great location to Dublin airport! The family room was large, perfect for organizing our luggage to fly out the next day. Bathroom was large and comfortable. Staff was pleasant and helpful.
Breakfast was an extra charge, but very reasonable and delicious! We also tested out the restaurants desserts the night before...there's nothing better than Ireland's sweets, and food in general!!
The hotel was only a few minutes from Dublin Airport and was an easy drive. The staff were excellent. They printed out our boarding passes without hesitation. The cleaning staff were very pleasant and went above and beyond to help. Parking was limited but we had no trouble parking our car. Food was fine, we didn’t have breakfast. Overall, very comfortable.
Exceptionally clean, large room looking over the golf course. Bed was so comfortable and breakfast was lovely. The building itself is wonderful, full of history and well maintained. Very close to Dublin Airport.
Excellent staff and fantastic convenience to the airport. Lots to do on Swords Main Street. Recommend this hotel if you have a weekend or short stay-over in Dublin. Thanks all.
Super cheap for Dublin. Great hotel and helpful staff. Room was perfect. Very convenient for the airport. And plenty parking inside a barrier. Will be returning again.
