Roganstown Hotel & Country Club, hotel in Swords

Carefully restored to retain the character of the original Roganstown House, this is a magnificent Georgian house on the 300-acre Roganstown Estate. It boasts an AA Rosette award-winning restaurant.

Only stayed for one night so I can't say that much. If you need to be at the airport the next day it's actually pretty nice because it's close by.

Not for the faint of heart.

Not for the faint of heart. This property ranks at the top of the scale. Immaculate and beautifully appointed in every way. We had the deluxe king room. There is a shared kitchen with private fridges for each guest room loaded with enough food and snacks for a great breakfast. Gillian and Paschal are super hosts.

Where I stayed at in Swords was right across from the Swords pavilion, which was a very large mall that had different restaurants so it met my needs perfectly. I did not walk or ride around Swords. I basically spent more time in Dublin City. But what I did see of Swords, I would definitely recommend that it’s like a nice little cozy town.

It was busier and bigger than I expected but offered all needed. The Swords Express Bus service works really well. You need exact coins as no change nor card facilities are offered on the bus. Swords is the perfect destination for exploring the area; being close to the airport and for frequent trips into Dublin. It also gives easy access to the Motorway if you wish to explore a further afield.

We chose the Old Borough Hotel because it was easy distance to the airport. We have been to Wetherspoons on many occasions so know what to expect meals/drinks wise etc. Was super impressed with the hotel accommodation.

if like me you need this for a layover at Dublin Airport, don't choose this one. It's not on a bus route or walkable so you have to take a cab, which added $20 to my stay. The curtains didn't close all the way and I happened to be on the first floor looking directly at peoples cars. One of only two USB ports didn't work but thankfully one did so I could set an alarm and make it to the airport on time.

I was extremely excited to go to this hotel from the pictures that I viewed and was deeply disappointed when we arrived. Our room looked nothing like any of the photographs. I would never have stayed there if I saw the quality of the room. I will not be back.

Room clean Room great size for a family. Breakfast very good and plenty served kids eat free which is good considering all 1 of mine had a small bowl of cereal. Location good mcdonalds hoggs and heiffers restaurant beside hotel. 20mins drive to centre of dublin/zoo Tescos around the corner. Parking good facilitates at back of hotel free. Whatever you do dont park at coffee shop at side of hotel they lock you in after 5pm, put a sticker on your car and they clamp you!!

We were only staying for a short stay to make an early flight in Dublin Airport. It was only 10 minutes drive from the long term car park. Very convenient. Room was very comfortable and spotless. I would definitely recommend it if requiring a room close to the airport.
