Dublin is home to more than a quarter of the entire Republic of Ireland’s population and was originally founded as a Viking settlement. Dublin Castle is at the heart of the city's history and Trinity College holds the renowned Book of Kells, a beautifully illustrated manuscript from circa 800 AD. The Ha’penny Bridge is the city’s most photographed landmark and the statue of Molly Malone celebrates the heroine of Dublin’s unofficial anthem.

I've known Dublin for forty years--lived there for ten years 80s/90s--and there's still much to enjoy and love but it's a smallish city now with a very large population and it's hard to get around because of that. Restaurants teem but are expensive regardless of quality and usually very crowded mid-evening. But it has a fantatsic buzz and vitality that makes it unique.

Love historic places ? really nice people ? the nature ?
Love historic places ? really nice people ? the nature ? the beer ? the folkloric irish music ? I do not know what are you waiting for :)
Easy transport by bus or train, but i always prefer walk to discover new places.
Rent a car or book a tourist tour to discover nearby places also.
For museums, Guiness warehouse ...etc always a pre-order ticket its recommended to save time.

Dublin is such a beautiful city visually but the population in Dublin is insane there is literally junkies and homeless people left right and centre it’s not safe any more for me and my friend to go out alone in Dublin City centre anymore and this is really upsetting as it used to be such a pleasant place

I have always loved Dublin, pretty much everything is in walking distance, or bus/tram. I really like Madigan's Pub on O'Connell St., they have the best Baileys Irish Cheese Cake. If you visit make sure to visit the museum at the post office. They have a hop on hop off bus that can take you everywhere and I feel it's worth while especially for first time visitors. I would also suggest to be very aware of your surroundings in the evening as the city is not as it once was, I did not feel comfortable being out at night by myself, a lot of changes but I will say the Garda (police) keeps a vigil eye on things. So go and enjoy, the Irish people are lovely and friendly.

Only there 2 days, Next time I will stay a bit longer. My first time in Arnotts, why did I not come sooner? I could live in that store.
At nite it was sad to see a few people trying to sleep rough in the closed doorways, heartbreaking.

This is easily the best hotel I've stayed at in Ireland (and I've been to a few). The room has all the facilities you may need and more, and is impeccably kept. Breakfast has plenty of choice and is abundant. Location is right in the heart of Dublin and makes a great base to travel around (although the city centre does get rather dodgy at times). The price was pretty reasonable for Ireland (although it's usually much higher). Staff are usually helpful. Restaurant was also good.
Central location near a lot of tourist attractions, restaurants, shopping areas, hospitals etc.
Like most city centres you need to careful at night.
I got street parking across the road from the hotel at the weekend.
Comfortable bed and a nice room.
Breakfast was superb and included in my rate which was great value for money in Dublin.
Nice bar and dining room on the ground floor.
Complimentary water, tea & coffee facilities in the room.
Overall a good experience.
The location is perfect for the city centre and Temple Bar.
Staff were lovely, facilities were good, rooms are slightly dated but the upshot was that they are not tiny and cramped.
The bed was comfortable, the shower was hot, option of having a bath and plenty towels.
I’ll not be using my previous favourite hotel when in Dublin, this ticks the boxes especially the value for money box
The hotel is very central to Dublin City centre and surrounded by bars and cafes. Lovely canal in front of the hotel where you can walk in to town.
Staff lovely and really helpful - especially Joao on reception who was so welcoming and friendly.
The hotel room was immaculate and bed incredibly comfy.
The staff were very helpful. The hotel is in a gorgeous Georgian Building.
We were right in the Centre of Dublin. Easy access to the city centre and all places of interest.
