Located in Tapokreng, Vogelkopf Resort has a terrace and bar. Featuring a garden, the 2-star hotel has air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi, each with a private bathroom. Vogelkopf is a young resort nestled within a mangrove forest, with a jetty that extends out to a diverse and well kept house reef, at which we saw a dugong, trumpet fish, banner fish, clown fish, giant clams, and were also told you could see dolphins and turtles at the right time. The sunsets were outstanding and you could hear the songs of Imams echoing across the water (although the resort itself was protected from this noise). Our room was spacious and had great air conditioning. In particular, the bed was extremely comfortable. Vogelkopf is well furnished, and exactly like the pictures. We felt very comfortable and welcome, and ended up staying twice. The owners were very welcoming and helped organise us with a scooter, tour company and scuba dive group. Brezel was a great host and kindly helped us with phone difficulties, providing us with an SD card and aiding with international transfers. Corwyn and Pricilia also drove us into town to explore the local market and fresh produce and also kindly dropped us at the ferry at the end of our stay. Also, Frengklin is a fantastic chef and we always looked forward to our meals, which were included in the cost. This is was the best food we had in Raja Ampat. Special mention to staff Raka and Hadya, who had excellent spoken English and made us feel welcome.

We loved how clean the hotel is and how all the staff were very friendly and kind. We especially liked how welcoming and helpful Mr San_Sanip was throughout our stay. An excellent hotel with great staff and great location that was close to all the eateries and shops.

Great value spot for an overnight before we got on our liveaboard. Went to a decent local Warung nearby for food. Staff was really kind and helpful. Room was basic and clean.
