We are divers and chose Aldejus mainly due to its proximity to Tarzan Diving. The transfers were well organized and the communication with the hosts was good, although mainly through Whatsapp, due to the fact that the family speaks little English, but we didn't mind. We really loved the food and appreciated that they were able to cater to vegetarians. Lunch packages were prepared for the days on which we went diving. Western bathroom was also highly appreciated. The family was very friendly and made us feel welcome.

This place is an amazing gem. We loved to be around nature, you could hear the animals across on the mangrove going about their day. The reef is a bit of a swim, but is in great condition - you can also see lots of unique marine life next to the rooms, where you have a mix of coral, grass and mangrove. Baby sharks swim the area in the mornings, and you can expect some exotic bird to fly by. Room was excellent for families, and food was prepared with care. Everyone at the property was super nice.

The property is beautiful and will be even better once renovations are complete. The private dock and house reef are great for snorkeling, swimming, and sunsets. The meals are all-you-can-eat buffet style and are always delicious with lots of options. Coffee and tea are always available and they have a small meal in addition to their set meals. For scuba tours, they will set you up with a good dive operator so you have everything you need in one place. Comfy beds, AC, hot showers, lots of space in the rooms and bathrooms so you have plenty of room to relax. The staff is wonderful and their service is fantastic. They play very nice music in the main areas which is so welcoming.

Remember to drink plenty of water, homestay has a dispenser in the room. All boat trips from homestay extra cost, Yeabuba Jetty a great snorkeling spot.

Raja Ampat was a dream!
Raja Ampat was a dream! We couldn't be happier with our stay! Methos, Jonas (our guide), and the family were super super nice to us, and made our trip a dream!
We did all the "excursions" with Methos, while Jonas was our guide. They were super flexible and nice with it, and snorkeling was amazing! We saw reef sharks, big turtles, manta rays, and all the different fishes and corals. Absolutely amazing!
The homestay is also amazing! It is in the water, and we saw most days dolphins passing by early in the morning and late in the afternoon. We could watch the sunset from the balcony!
We stayed for a week there and we felt we needed at least a week more!
Small tips and things to take into account. There is no wi-fi, but the 4G works quite well. You can take this time to disconnect, but if not, make sure to have a big internet package plan. The bathroom/shower is with a bucket. Very different, but we got used to it very quickly and was quite nice to have this different experience. There are no fans/ac, so it might get a bit warm at night. Most nights we had a bit of rain, which made the temperature perfect :)
All in all, would 100% go back and it made us fall in love with the place. I hope to see you soon Methos and Jonas!
