The Westings is set in Tingwall. The hotel offers both free WiFi and free private parking. The units in the hotel are fitted with a coffee machine. This was such a fantastic place to stay while we were in Shetland for Wool Week. David, our host, was extremely attentive and made sure we were right at home, showing us the place, asking what time was best for breakfast, and ensuring that the other guests (builders) were quiet while we were there. It is about 10 or 15 minutes outside Lerwick and the views were just absolutely stunning.

La struttura é molto pulita, lo staff é sempre gentile e ha incluso un ottimo bar e ristorante. L'energia, la cortesia e il sorriso dei due ragazzi, Scott e Curtis, che ti accolgono per colazione é sicuramente uno dei punti forti di quest'albergo.

Situato nel cuore di Shetland, in una posizione tranquilla e piacevole, il St Magnus Bay Hotel era un tempo frequentato dal poeta WH Auden e dal drammaturgo Christopher Isherwood. Accoglienza eccezionale e disponibilità con possibilità di cena in loco (data la posizione) e consigli di cosa fare e vedere sull'isola. Pulizia ottima, lo stanno ristrutturando ma non ha inficiato sui servizi offerti. Colazione ottima.

Scalloway Hotel is situated in Scalloway and features a bar. There is a barbecue and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. Ottima posizione, parcheggio comodo, suite grande e con splendida vista sul porto. Tranquillo. Bagno nuovo e pulito. Ottimo servizio e cibo ristorante.

Il Queens Hotel si trova a Lerwick, a pochi passi dalla spiaggia di Bain. L'hotel dista 32 km dall'Aeroporto di Sumburgh, lo scalo più vicino. It is perfectly situated. This grand beautiful historic building is being renovated by the present owners. I had a room with a sea view which was magnificent. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. I loved the towel warmer and excellent water pressure in the shower. The staff were amazing. Sam, the owner’s son, went above the call of duty to provide towels and vacuum the sand I tracked into the room. Harvey, the owner, was fantastic! He even gave me a ride to the bus station. If you are interested in historic preservation this is the hotel for you. It sits actually into the sea next to Bain’s Beach. I had a fabulous week at the Queens Hotel.
