Set in Lerwick, 2 km from Bain's Beach, Maryfield House Hotel offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Guests can have a drink at the bar. Everything! The owners and staff were warm and friendly, our room was large, comfortable and well-appointed. Breakfasts and dinners were delicious. Our four night stay was the highlight of our two week visit to Scotland.

Westings Inn is set in Tingwall. The hotel offers both free WiFi and free private parking. The units in the hotel are fitted with a coffee machine. This was such a fantastic place to stay while we were in Shetland for Wool Week. David, our host, was extremely attentive and made sure we were right at home, showing us the place, asking what time was best for breakfast, and ensuring that the other guests (builders) were quiet while we were there. It is about 10 or 15 minutes outside Lerwick and the views were just absolutely stunning.

Scalloway Hotel is situated in Scalloway and features a bar. There is a barbecue and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. As far as I am concerned the Scalloway is the best place to stay while in Shetland.

Featuring a bar, The Brae Hotel is set in Brae. The hotel also offers free WiFi and free private parking. At the hotel you will find a restaurant serving local cuisine. Very sweet and helpfull staff, much more welcoming than ever expected. Clean room, comfortable bed. Hotel has a restaurant with possibility of breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is great because list of options for eating out in Shetlands is not very big. Food selection is little old fashioned but food was done well.

Situated in Hillswick, St Magnus Bay Hotel has a garden, terrace, bar, and free WiFi. Guests can have a drink at the snack bar. Staff was very hospitable and kind. Helped us out many times about transportation and events in Lerwick.

Offering free WiFi throughout the property, Queens Hotel is set in Lerwick, within a few steps of Bain's Beach. The nearest airport is Tingwall Airport, 12 km from the hotel. It is perfectly situated. This grand beautiful historic building is being renovated by the present owners. I had a room with a sea view which was magnificent. The bed was exceptionally comfortable. I loved the towel warmer and excellent water pressure in the shower. The staff were amazing. Sam, the owner’s son, went above the call of duty to provide towels and vacuum the sand I tracked into the room. Harvey, the owner, was fantastic! He even gave me a ride to the bus station. If you are interested in historic preservation this is the hotel for you. It sits actually into the sea next to Bain’s Beach. I had a fabulous week at the Queens Hotel.

Located in Lerwick, in a building dating from 19th century, 300 metres from Bain's Beach, The Grand Hotel provides guestrooms with free WiFi. The hotel features family rooms. The Grand Hotel embraces its visitors with kindness. It is situated ideally in the center of Lerwick. Do not come here expecting a modern building. It is old and quaint with a rugged charm, that I have come to aprreciate greatly.

Situated in Lerwick, Shetland's main town, the Shetland Hotel provides an ideal base for all your requirements. Room was very comfortable and the staff at reception and in the restaurant and bar were incredibly nice and helpful.
