Situated in Stranraer and with Stranraer Beach reachable within less than 1 km, The Royal Hotel features a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a bar. This hotel was excellent. The guy who checked us in made everything so chill, quick and easy. The hotel room was lovely. There was no hassle with leaving early either. And the tea and biscuits were greatly appreciated. Will definitely be i this hotel to any friends and family who will be in the area to catch the boat.

The refurbished Ship Inn is a boutique hotel located in the heart of Galloway. Although this was a very last minute, one night only booking, and we didn't get to experience the full package right down to breakfast or dinner, the hotel 150% met our expectations. Room was spacious, clean with modern, also very clean bathroom. Couldn't have asked for better. Will definitely book The Ship Inn again should we find ourselves in the area.
