This hotel is divided into 2 buildings from the 18th-century, a former school, from Napoleon III period. The location in the middle of the small village of Azay Le Rideau and close to the chateau is great. The staff, Thomas, Elisa and others are very helpful booking the restaurant for us and assisting. Their breakfast is very complete and a nice set-up. Restaurants nearby are charming. I had a tea break in the afternoon with my son at Biscuithé and it was awesome.

Beautiful scenery and many vignerons to visit, taste and buy from. My advice is to travel to the outlying villages as well as the main centres to meet the producers, find different interpretations and great value wine. In Chavignol, there is a cheese maker who produces the perfect compliment for the wine.
Only stayed overnight ,area looked a little 'suspect' at first but never unsafe .Easy walk into centre and couple of pleasant bars close by . Able to park my motorcycle close to hotel ( area lit)
A right sized city. Some great urban design. Healthy wine culture. Easy centre for a wine related trip. Took a cab to Vouvray and spent a day there. Direct train to fabulous Chateau.
The center of town is very pretty, with charming and interesting Tudor architecture. Bourges has an impressive cathedral, and is a good town to walk around. Beware of getting lost in the maze of small streets! There are some very good restaurants and bars in town, and town centre shopping is lively.
Chartres was a lovely place for a visit. Cathedral was awesome. Excellent cafes. Visitors Information Centre staff were excellent and English spoken was a bonus. Good parking in close proximity to the Cathedral.
This was my third visit to Chartres. Very pleasant city with lots to see. Very dog friendly (a special 'dog' park by the river plus good walking areas between the dog park and the town centre.
It is a beautiful, historic town with great restaurants, my favourite was L'epicure right next to chateau Amboise. Walking around the town centre is romantic and quaint. Friendly locals.
Busy town, with significant student presence, so buzzing. But some of the restaurants do not offer great value for money at all price points. The centre is mall enough to walk round but outside of the centre has every facility one would expect. The Chateux in and around are the main draw of course, and do not disappoint.
An old hotel sympathetically modernised ideally located in the centre of the old part of Bourges - very professional and friendly staff - good buffet breakfast - added advantage of secure parking. Good local bars and restaurants including the Jacque Cour bistro just round the corner
Your bucket list should include the rose windows of Chartres cathedral - magic. Wander the centre, and do walk down to the river. Enjoy the very clever external lighting of churches during the summer season (I think about 2200 - 0200).
Hotel and room clean and comfortable, plenty of hot water, good shower. NB shower door handle is a hole in the door, so needs careful positioning of shower head to avoid spraying water out through this. Excellent receptionist, pleasant and helpful. Easy to get to hotel and plenty of free parking. Various restaurants within a very short drive, but nice and quiet around the hotel itself. Very good breakfast (included in price for room), with attentive member of staff. Not a city centre location, but an ideal stopover for my motorway journey.
Location great, on the Loire river bank, against Blois and walking distance from the town centre. Room was good in terms of space and amenities, if a bit "generic" in terms of ambience. Sleep comfort was ok. Very happy with the staff, all polite and attentive to our needs. Hotel amenities lived up to expectations, but nothing great. Breakfast very good, served on a terrace with fantastic view across the river to Blois. Overall, probably the best hotel in the Loire Valley and excellent value for money. Hence our 9/10 rating.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel D’Angleterre. Our room was very comfortable and well-equipped. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Being situated in the town centre allowed us to wander around town and visit the cathedral and restaurants. The garage was helpful and recommend that one books a space before they disappear. We very much look forward to staying at this hotel again on our journeys going south and north of France and highly recommend.
Amboise
Beautiful apartment in a very central location. Only a short walk to the town centre, chateau and Leonardo da Vinci chateau. Well appointed with all the mod cons including a full kitchen - big oven and hob. Apartment was quiet too making for easy sleep. Also spotlessly clean. Franck and Delphine were excellent to deal with, prompt to respond and clear with instructions. Having secure parking was a bonus too. Thanks for a great stay
Great central location close to the station and town centre shops/restaurants. Check in/out was quick and easy and the room was spacious, clean and bed large and comfortable. A bottle of water by the bedside table, robe/slippers provided and heating switched on which was nice given arrived on a very cold Dec evening.
Location excellent for our city break, easy walk into centre. Tours is an ideal centre for this part of the country, the town lively and attractive, plenty of places for eating out. Property is quaint (Very old building), access is in a narrow alley with parking in local streets, no charge. Facilities basic but adequate.
This lovely apartment was perfect for 3 friends traveling. It had everything we needed and was clean, comfortable and close to centre. We had a car spot which was really handy We loved our stay here and our host was very welcoming. I would totally recommend.

Amboise
It had the best breakfast we’ve ever had in France, almost entirely home-made. The host was welcoming and the room was charming and comfortable. It was also a very reasonable walk to the restaurants in the centre of town, and the Loire.
Room was a little small but well appointed with the best air conditioning we had in France! Very convenient location - easy walking distance to the centre of Amboise. Staff were friendly. Hotel building itself also had a lot of charm.
Chartres
Great location. Minutes from the cathedral and right on the route to see the illuminations. Apartment was reasonably priced given the town centre location. Furnishings were present, it had what we needed for a night or two.
The apartment was clean, modern and comfortable and our host was kind enough to provide wine and coffee pods on our arrival. The location was excellent - a short walk to the station, the river or the vibrant town centre.
The hotel is very well located to the motorway and is an easy walk over the river to the city centre. The room was very comfortable and the breakfast was very good. The staff were very friendly. I recommend this hotel.
Very friendly, welcoming staff; cute room. The hotel is a quick drive easy walk from the train station and city centre. It was a shared shower but the room had its own private 2-piece powder room, so that was great.
Great location near city centre of Blois. Perfect for visiting the sights in the Loire valley. Apartment was spacious, and had everything we needed as a family of four. Hosts were communicative and accomodating.

Location of this hotel absolutely best. Just beside a supermarket, river side and close to the centre to name a few. There is a standing fan available in the apartments. All in all a comfy stay.
