AerowView Home Retreat is situated in Matei and offers a garden. This property offers access to a terrace, free private parking and free WiFi. Towels and bed linen are available in the homestay. Sarah and Sam were so incredibly accommodating during our stay. They helped us with our scuba diving & car hire - so helpful!! We got to taste some amazing home cooked Fijian meals, we were never left hungry. Definitely going to miss the family and will be reminiscing about this lovely stay.

This spot is a strategically located homestay near the islands airport, less then 5 mins walk, as well as a good starter point for island activities; walking or driving. A welcoming tourist friendly area that was hospitable, well priced, and had a great attitude all around. They have Internet/wifi.

Vakanananu Retreat in Matei provides adults-only accommodation with free bikes and a garden. This property offers access to a balcony and free private parking. From the moment we arrived on Taveuni we were greeted by Aj our incredible, knowledgeable and kind Taxi driver who shuttled us to Paradise... I mean Vakananu Retreat. Upon arrival we were greeted by Grant, Sharon, their adorable pooch Moana and the Amazing Staff who serenaded us and presented us with traditional garlands. We were treated like family and felt at home the entire time we stayed, I can't understate just how welcome we were. Grant and Sharon have created a slice of heaven here on earth and this is reinforced by the admiration, respect and love that the locals and residents on Taveuni have for them both, they have put so much back into the community and uplifted everyone that they have come into contact with they are a prime example of "High tide raising every ship" in that their success is everyones. We would happily fly another 26hrs to stay here again. As a side note, thanks to the recommendations of Grant and Sharon my partner and I got engaged while here, we will always be eternally grateful to both of them for creating the perfect setting for love.

Lomani has the most incredible view up on the hill of the Somosomo Straight right from it's own pool, it honestly doesn't feel real! We cooked our own breakfast in the large kitchen, loved roaming the grounds to find fruits (like pineapples) and tropical flowers. The wifi and Netflix are awesome additions too, but we just found ourselves enjoying switching off and gazing into the stunning sunsets and showered under the stars. Knox was so helpful and picked us up from the ferry, drove us to the shops for supplies, and lots of activities, including the beautiful Bouma falls and we also snorkelled the insanely colourful rainbow reef (amazing dive shop just down the road!). Our experience was enriched greatly by Knox and we enjoyed our time getting to know him. Saskia is also a fabulous host who communicated everything we needed to know before our stay. Glass bottom kayaks and snorkel gear are also available but sadly we ran out of time to use them. There are so many activities to chose from, or equally opportunities to just relax, recharge, and connect with nature and each other. Knox even worked tirelessly all day to cook us a traditional Lovo on our final night at Lomani, which was so delicious and very memorable. It rained quite heavily during our time but it didn't dampen our experience at all. Lomani is a quaint cottage that feels cosy and spacious like home (but with ten times more incredible views). There is something deeply special about Lomani and we hope to return one day but stay longer than three nights. Taveuni is a tranquil, quiet, lush garden island teaming with wildlife, fruit, flowers and creatures (like frogs and geckos), along with such kind hearted people. Unlike anywhere we have ever been before. We are from a busy city and loved how Taveuni is the opposite.

Coconut Grove Beachfront Cottages offers beachfront accommodation in Matei on Taveuni Island. Each cottage has a private sun terrace and the resort offers massages in a private beach bure. Food was made with heart ❤️ The staff were amazing and felt like sisters. Was given an upgrade 😊

Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Taveuni Dive Resort is located near Soqulu, 9km from Waiyevo. Free WiFi Access in public areas is available in this resort. As snorkelers, we weren't sure if we'd fit in at a dive resort, however, our concerns were completely unfounded. Heading out on the dive boat in the mornings and exploring the reef with a guide (while the divers explored other deeper parts of the reef) was exactly the experience we were hoping for. From the moment we checked in, we knew we were somewhere different to any other resort we'd stayed at. First and foremost, the staff are what make Taveuni Dive Resort so special. HIGHLY recommend the meal plan as the food is incredibly tasty and beautifully presented (besides, there's no kitchen in the bures, so cooking your own food is nigh impossible... and why would you want to!?). Speaking of bures, although no air conditioning, the dual fans were sufficient to keep us cool on the hot nights. Windows are all protected with mesh, so no issues with bugs. The shower was great (best in the afternoon when water is hottest). The king (maybe super king) bed was really comfortable. It was quite a novelty for us to have a turndown service! Starlink WiFi Internet is fast, but limited to the restaurant area. Cellphone reception is present, but patchy and slow data rates. For location, the resort is only a 15min boat ride from the reef. It's a 1.5hr drive to Lavena (one way) over some very rough dirt roads (the sealed sections are a blessing). The dive/snorkel outings are half day activities, so it's possible to do something else in the afternoon. The pool was great afterwards! Breakfast was selected the night before (at dinner) and had a good range to choose from. The breakfasts were excellent (as was all the food!). All meals are served at the restaurant. The staff catered for gluten free (banana bread was so good). Coffee, tea and filtered water was complimentary (dairy, soy and almond milk was available). Packed lunches can also be booked the night before to pick up at breakfast if heading out for the day.

The luxurious Taveuni Island Resort & Spa is set on 10 acres of tropical gardens, a 2-minute drive from Matei Airport on Taveuni Island. Everything was even better than we thought it was going to be . We definitely will be going back again next year as the resort , food , people were awesome ! Michelle and Butch

Situated a short walk from Taveuni Beach, Maravu Taveuni Lodge offers accommodation with access to the beach and a colorful and vibrant reef. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Very nice place, friendly staff and good atmosphere. Amazing food. Tours and transfers are organized. Every evening they are doing a kava ceremony which you can join. Good snorkeling spot at the beach nearby (check for high tide)
