Sam would drive us around Taveuni, teaching us about Fijian culture, showing us different parts of the island, and showing off his witty sense of humor. Sarah made sure all of our needs were taken care of, offering us delicious food, teaching us things like how to pick fruit, and showing us how to cook authentic Fijian meals. Together, they work harmoniously to really make Aeroview what it is - a well-run, welcoming home. Sam, Sarah, and their family, showed us true Fijian hospitality, and created one of my favorite travel experiences.

Fantastic location, super comfortable home, amazing caretakers...Robert and Vinna were the BEST!!! They helped us with whatever we needed... meals, activities, massage, friendly conversation. We couldn't have been happier with our experience at Vale Sekoula!!

Very quiet little resort - only 2 units, I was the only guest at the time - in beautiful surroundings. Accommodation was airy, spacious and spotless. Excellent home-cooked meals, attentive hosts and cheerful service. Sharon also helped in booking activities and transport.

Oceanfront location with proximity to other services if needed (grocery store, airport, other resort restaurants). Small number of guest cottages/guests on site. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We appreciated all of the information provided before we arrived to insure a comfortable and pleasant experience. Excellent snorkeling within a short boat ride from the property.

As snorkelers, we weren't sure if we'd fit in at a dive resort, however, our concerns were completely unfounded. Heading out on the dive boat in the mornings and exploring the reef with a guide (while the divers explored other deeper parts of the reef) was exactly the experience we were hoping for. From the moment we checked in, we knew we were somewhere different to any other resort we'd stayed at. First and foremost, the staff are what make Taveuni Dive Resort so special. HIGHLY recommend the meal plan as the food is incredibly tasty and beautifully presented (besides, there's no kitchen in the bures, so cooking your own food is nigh impossible... and why would you want to!?). Speaking of bures, although no air conditioning, the dual fans were sufficient to keep us cool on the hot nights. Windows are all protected with mesh, so no issues with bugs. The shower was great (best in the afternoon when water is hottest). The king (maybe super king) bed was really comfortable. It was quite a novelty for us to have a turndown service! Starlink WiFi Internet is fast, but limited to the restaurant area. Cellphone reception is present, but patchy and slow data rates. For location, the resort is only a 15min boat ride from the reef. It's a 1.5hr drive to Lavena (one way) over some very rough dirt roads (the sealed sections are a blessing). The dive/snorkel outings are half day activities, so it's possible to do something else in the afternoon. The pool was great afterwards! Breakfast was selected the night before (at dinner) and had a good range to choose from. The breakfasts were excellent (as was all the food!). All meals are served at the restaurant. The staff catered for gluten free (banana bread was so good). Coffee, tea and filtered water was complimentary (dairy, soy and almond milk was available). Packed lunches can also be booked the night before to pick up at breakfast if heading out for the day.

The hosts at Maravu are so incredibly welcoming and make an effort to call every guest by their name. The gardens and pool are beautiful, the food at the on-site restaurant is good quality and reasonably priced, especially at breakfast! Big shout-out to Rafa, who feels like the dad of the place and is so full of love for everybody, he immediately makes you feel like you are part of their family. He also loves his kava and music ;) I loved my time at Maravu and highly recommend it to all!
