The location is amazing, Extremadura is an undiscovered jewel! Such a beautiful sky at night, full of stars and completely surrounded by nature. You wake up with birds chirping and the calming sound of the river, such an incredible experience overall. Already looking forward to go again. The hotel is fairly new, it opened last august. If you are looking for a simple base when going birding in Extremadura and don't want to ruin your budget, this is a good choice. Nothing fancy but nice and clean with a very friendly staff. The hotel is well situated as a starting point for your daily excursions and if you have not already eaten when returning to the hotel, the restaurant serves quite good food at a very fair price.

We fell in love with this chain of hotels “Hospedería de Extremadura” starting from this one located in Hervás :) Beautiful building (it was a convent and hospital), big room, huge parking, close to town and several trekking routes, helpful staff! Most importantly, super pet-friendly! With a supplement we received a hearty kit for our dog ;)

Loved this cute apartment! in a brilliant location near the old city on a quiet square in an ancient stone building. fully self-catering which I needed. Enjoyed the balconies and atmosphere. Owner only speaks Spanish, like most people in Extremadura, but is very accommodating and responsive. Air conditioning upstairs was appreciated.
It’s perfectly Spanish no compromise for the non Spanish travellers so make the effort. It’s lovely the food is superb and the breakfast bread is probably the best I’ve ever tasted. The town itself is picturesque. The Extremadura is the best part of Spain in my opinion and the hotel reflects everything good about it.
Don Julio is a hotel of outstanding quality in every aspect. It is a typical Casona of Extremadura with lovely traditional furnishings and large comfortable bedrooms. The gardens are a delight and there is ample parking space as well. The breakfast is ample and varied. It is good value.

Nicely converted first floor apartment with good security. Newly converted and modern. Bedroom was separate and bed comfortable. Location was easy walk to centre of the town. Good location to exploit wildlife sites in Extremadura.

It was on the edge of town, but only a short walk to the centre. Parking very easy in the carpark. Nice rural views from windows, quiet. Comfortable bed and room. An old-style hotel, like a throwback to the 1980s. Staff helpful and informative.

Location is perfect. By car you'get bakery, market and whatever you need at only 10 minutes in the town Navaconcejo o in Jerte where a bar to have coffee is open since 7h00 and next is a bakery with excellent cereals bread. The landscape all around the Chozos is just wonderful. Exit point for Rutas de senderismo in the Centro de Explotación are so close that you can go by feet and enjoy one of the best one, " Camino de la Garganta de los Infiernos". Anyway, for a shorter route, is the " Camino de los Nogales" getting from the Jerte bridge in the entry of Navaconcejo to climb up with amazing waters fall
