On the sunny plateau of Melchsee-Frutt in the Swiss Alps, 1,920 meters above sea level, this hotel features a spa and an open-air lounge with mountain views. Stöckalp SMF Ski Lift is 150 metres away. This is probably the most beautiful place in Switzerland we’ve been to. Very nice rooms with amazing views (even the mountain view), excellent breakfast, very kind personnel always helpful, many options for eating, all very good (especially the Titschli), lovely bar lounge with a wonderful pianoman singing in the evenings (thank you G D Angelo for the enchanting after dinner music), fabulous spa and very good kids spa too (enjoyable by parents as well), not to mention the incredible scenery surrounding the place, and really good ski school. Just an amazing place thank you all!

Built in 1896 in the Art Nouveau style, the historic Jugendstilhotel Paxmontana, standing on a hill in a beautiful location in the Canton of Obwalden, has won many awards. breakfast was generous and full of options. eggs were only available after 9am due to internal meetings before..I thought that was rather unusual.

Located in the centre of Sachseln, 200 metres from Lake Sarnen and the train station, the family-run Gasthaus Engel features a Gault Millau-awarded restaurant serving Swiss and international cuisine. This was a wonderful place. I recommend it highly. Be sure to have dinner, it was wonderful.

Situated right in front of the Melchsee-Frutt Cable Car, Gasthaus Waldhaus is a traditional guesthouse that enjoys a central position in Melchtal. We had an amazing stay! Diana and Monica were both incredibly friendly and helpful. Monica’s extensive knowledge of the surrounding area led us to some great adventures, and Diana was a conscientious and attentive waitress. Their hospitality truly enhanced our experience. Thank you!

Located on the southern shore of Lake Sarnen, the historic Landgasthof Zollhaus is a traditional family-run property for 160 years. Welcoming and kind stuff, good breakfast, good location if you travel by car.

This elegant hotel is located only a 15-minute drive from Lucerne and a 2-minute walk from the train station. It offers modern wellness facilities, free parking and a large terrace. Breakfast employees were very kind and polite. And the location of the hotel is just perfect. I didnt do much so I dont know about activities there but you can walk there very nice.

Cu vedere la Lacul Sarnen, Seehotel Wilerbad are o locaţie idilică între munţi şi lac, la 20 de minute de mers cu maşina de Lucerna. breathtakingly, beautiful location along the lake, amazing, heated, saltwater, pool, and spa, the best facilities I’ve ever experienced also with a Great gym and lovely breakfast with lake view. The staff was incredibly kind and generous, this is the best Swissotel. I’ve stayed at by far, one of the best memories of my life.

20 km south of Lucerne, with the Sarner lake and mountains right before the door, this hotel charmingly combines a historic building with modern styling and up-to-date facilities. Very clean hotel and good location for going on trips. Great value for money. Wonderful view from the window. Lovely surroundings.
