Included breakfast was expansive and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Daily Spa after hiking each day was phenomenal!

Located in Sarnen and within 21 km of Lucerne Station, Hotel Metzgern features a restaurant, non-smoking rooms, and free WiFi. This was the last leg of our week of Swiss Travel Pass train trips specifically to visit the Kloster Sarnen. After six days of crowded tourist destinations, Sarnen was a welcomed place to rest and recuperate. Hotel Metzgern was a genuine oasis. Close to the Train Station, extremely friendly staff, excellent restaurant and food and by far the nicest place we stayed on our journey. The bathroom and spa bath in the Panorama Suite has to be seen to be believed. LED lighting in the tiles made for such a romantic and relaxing atmosphere to wash away the travel aches and pains. As far as accommodation is concerned this was the highlight of our trip.

Boasting a restaurant, ski-to-door access and views of mountain, Gasthaus Waldhaus is situated in Melchtal, 34 km from Lucerne Station. We had an amazing stay! Diana and Monica were both incredibly friendly and helpful. Monica’s extensive knowledge of the surrounding area led us to some great adventures, and Diana was a conscientious and attentive waitress. Their hospitality truly enhanced our experience. Thank you!

Located on the southern shore of Lake Sarnen, the historic Landgasthof Zollhaus is a traditional family-run property for 160 years. Welcoming and kind stuff, good breakfast, good location if you travel by car.

Overlooking Lake Sarnen, Seehotel Wilerbad is idyllically located between mountains and the lake, a 20-minute drive from Lucerne. The location is extraordinary. We were lucky enough to get a room on the 4th floor, where there is a shared terrace overlooking the lake. The view is incredibly beautiful. The room, although quite small, is very clean and the bed very comfortable. The hotel staff is extremely friendly. We recommend this hotel and we will definitely come back. :)
