Really enjoyed it and the staff is so nice. Room was big, with a small kitchen area and a decent sized bathroom. The location might not be ideal if you are not travelling by car but the bus stop is near by so it’s doable. There are also various activities for children which was very nice.

I stayed in this location because I wanted to see the Perseid meteor shower and the back garden was perfect for lying under the stars. The staff were very nice. The breakfast was okay.

Le Domaine (Swiss Lodge) er staðsett í Fribourg, 4,8 km frá Forum Fribourg og býður upp á gistirými með garði, ókeypis einkabílastæði, sameiginlega setustofu og verönd. The lodge is a hidden gem at the outskirts of Fribourg. It consists of very modern, quiet, clean rooms and facilities, including convention rooms. The rooms are reasonably priced and the fact that the bathrooms are not within the rooms, is not necessarily a withdrawal. To my opinion, it is perfectly okay, not to have TVs in the rooms , there is a good internet connection in the common areas, I feel that is more than enough for getting in touch with people. Pets are free of charge and a spacious pet poop area with poop bags is provided. The staff is young, friendly motivated and helpful. Surrounded is the lodge by well kept gardens, some bee hives, sheep, goats and very cute acapulcas. There is also a restaurant in the building that provides a buffet style breakfast every day, as well as lunches and dinners a la carte Monday through Friday. I investigated and found out that this lodge was a former Jesuit convent that was taken over and converted into a lodge by a society who’s aim is to reintegrate people with handicap, hence it is a win/win situation for all. Chapeau!

Hôtel du Cheval Blanc - City center offers comfortable accommodation with free WiFi in the center of the town. A challenge to access the apartment (instructions only in French) but the apartment was great - very clean and comfortable. Secure parking, very close to the centre of town, walking distance to the centre and lots of restaurants.

La Fleur de Lys er til húsa í 350 ára gamalli byggingu í miðbæ miðaldabæjarins Gruyère, 400 metrum frá Gruyère-kastala, Giger-safninu og Tibet-safninu. In old town Gruyère, very close to the castle and the bus stop that goes to and from the train station. The staff is exceptional and the hotel atmosphere takes you back to a less hurried time. We enjoyed our meals and the evening fire in the common sitting room. We highly recommend it.
