Really enjoyed it and the staff is so nice. Room was big, with a small kitchen area and a decent sized bathroom. The location might not be ideal if you are not travelling by car but the bus stop is near by so it’s doable. There are also various activities for children which was very nice.

Breakfast was delicious, fresh fruit, cereal and delicious croissants. Really recommend a stay here.

Situated in Murten, 15 km from Forum Fribourg, Zimmerei features a garden and views of the city. Private room on the top floor, modern and clean, with a private bath and nice decor. Coffee machine and electric kettle provided in the room along with pods, teabags, and cream (always a plus when you're backpacking and cannot carry all you want). Blinds allowed for a great night sleep, so did the comfy bed and the air conditioner. There was even a TV which allowed us to catch an international track and field meet, and fall asleep on it. Breakfast was well organized; it did not include meat or eggs but had an assortment of bread, cheeses, and yogurts, along with orange juice. A nice yard with tables and chairs provided a green, intimate space to lounge, right inside of the walled city.

I stayed in this location because I wanted to see the Perseid meteor shower and the back garden was perfect for lying under the stars. The staff were very nice. The breakfast was okay.

The hotel is located on top of a hill on large grounds. It has a modernized interior and is kept spotlessly clean up to its very last corner. One still feels the Jesuit heritage; in fact, the order still owns the premises, but exploitation rights have been transferred to a social enterprise in Fribourg who also uses the place for seminars and to help people in difficulties. This secularization of purpose is also the reason the original "Notre-Dame de la route" was dropped from the name. I very much enjoyed the tranquility and peace that the compound exudes. There are no frills, but everything there is works to perfection. The continental breakfast is excellent, very fresh, on a wonderfully presented buffet. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended; the hotel is within walking distance to the sports center.

Hôtel du Cheval Blanc - City center offers comfortable accommodation with free WiFi in the center of the town. A challenge to access the apartment (instructions only in French) but the apartment was great - very clean and comfortable. Secure parking, very close to the centre of town, walking distance to the centre and lots of restaurants.

La Fleur de Lys is housed in a 350 year-old building right in the centre of the medieval town of Gruyère, 400 metres from Gruyère Castle, the Giger Museum and the Tibet Museum. The staff and specially Priscila were very welcoming, warm and helpful! The lounge with the fireplace was warm and cozy! The Fleur de Lys is the closest hotel to the bus stop!
