Bed was very comfortable, the dog outside my apartment was keeping my company when it was night time / he was very adorable and we become friends, there is lively kittens that come and play as the restaurant have also outside tables and these kittens melt everyone heart as they are so playful. It’s perfect atmosphere overall . the owner of the restaurant and hotel have massive passion for baking on order Bulgarian bread and pizza’s, everything overall was perfect, even waitress was always looking after me, the food was coming in good time and traditional folklore music was nicely in the background. The evening time during dinners there is very magical atmosphere, if you really want to have memorable experience in enjoying traditional food this is the best place to be. Prices are also very good , and highest quality of food and service. Will definitely return.

It is truly a wonderful place. The view from the room is spectacular - you will find yourself watching it constantly. The room veranda was the best place in town. Rooms are comfortable and clean, a bit small but include everything you need. Beds are comfortable and for breakfast you have a choice of a few set meals. The owner is a very sweet guy and tries his best to make you stay comfortable. All in all, a great value for the price you pay.

The apartment is situated just a five minute walk from the ski lift - whilst this was not in use - the area gave a fantastic base for some challenging runs. I would say if you are a keen walker it would also be good and for mountain biking. We had fabulous meals at the Venus Bar/cafe in the town of Smolyan approx 25 mins from the apartment. A visit to the Canyon of Waterfalls Soskovcheto Reserve and the Rozhen Observatory and the village of Shorika Laka are a must as was visiting the Gorge and Devil's Throat. The village of Stoikite has a small village shop and a little bar. The locals are friendly.
Pamporovo is one of the most beautiful places in Bulgaria! Very disappointing of the fact that some fancy modern restaurants do not accept credit cards, do not accept Euro, and there is NO exchange bureau in the area and no one at the hotel reception knew where we can exchange money, except travel all the way to Smolyan ... This is rediculous for such a nice and pretentious resort with posh hotels... We were disappointed to learn that Chevermeto does not work in summer.
Don't miss Neviastata Ecopateka (The Bride Ecopath) walking route, very close, uphill Smolyan! There are other natural places of astonishing beauty in the close vicinity, as Buynovo and Trigrad Gorges, Yagodina Cave, Chudnite Mostove awesome natural bridges, Dospat Reservoir Lake, Shiroka Laka traditional village, all of them being touristic attractions not to be missed! As about Diavolsko Girlo (Devil's Throat Cave), you may skip it...
We used Smolyan to explore the area but did not see much of the town itself.
Small village with a couple of shops. Simply stunning views. Near Hvoyna bus station. This is an ideal place to explore up or down the road to the many attractions nearby. There is plenty to see and do nearby including Bachkovo Monastery, Assens Fortress, Wonderful Bridges, Shiroka Laka, Assenovgrad, Smolyan and Plovdiv. All are good to visit for a day. There are various museums and revival houses to see in all those places. Plovdiv is full of history including many Roman ruins, The Old Town with revival style, churches and mosques. For those who come to ski there is Chepelare with its very long runs, and Pamporovo with the TV tower café and plenty of reasonably priced restaurants. Not far away is a zipline for those feeling adventurous.
Smilyan is a traditional mountain village full of friendly people. It has enough convenience stores for a comfortable trip. The main town of Smolyan is easily accessible by car with plenty of shops and restaurants.
