Valemo Apart House not only met but it also exceeded our expectations. A very clean and well maintained hotel, very peaceful and with a beautiful view. Location was soso.
The spa area was simple, but nice. Water warm, but not hot. Good for swimming and warm enough to stay in the water for quite a while. Everything was very clean.
Also had two saunas, which was nice.
Bathroom in the room was great, with bubbles. There was a bad smell from the drain.
The room was very spacious and comfortable, but simple, which did not bother us.
The BEST thing by far about the place was the staff. SOOO kind and friendly.

The staff were AMAZING! Our room was modern and comfortable. The spa was super clean and well kept. The traditional food on offer was super tasty! We had the spa to ourselves.

The town is set among beautiful mountain surroundings. It has a large cental pedestrianised area, which is lovely and chilled out. Within a 30-40 minute drive, there are some popular caves, of which Yagodinska is poorly managed so you may not be able to see the inside. Restaurants are somewhat hit and miss, even if you go for ones wth decent online ratings. As a rule, I would suggest selecting the local dishes, as they're less likely to go wrong.

Charming small town in the heart of the Rodopi mountain. Great place for short or long holiday.
Child friendly eco path Struilica. I don’t recommend the waterfall for small children unless you want to carry them on your back 20 min up the hill and same down. We made that mistake and the parents and the children had to skip the beauty of the remaining path which they could have easily walked.
Nice swimming pool with hot mineral water at the beginning of the eco path.
We ate at Royal restaurant- the prices were good and food was tasty. Attitude of the waiters could be improved.

First of all, Devin has a unique culinary scenery.
First of all, Devin has a unique culinary scenery. Second, it's a perfect starting point for nature experiences - there are caves nearby including Devil's Throat Cave, in which is the highest subterranean waterfall on the Balkans and Yagodinska cave, which is 10 km long and is a home to 11 species of bats. Nearby is the Trigrad Gorge, which is a canyon with vertical marble rocks up to 400 m high. Pamporo ski resort is also not far away. The town is also a home to many mineral water springs, and a few km away there is a natural carbonated water spring.

GO to the Rodopa Mountain and you’ll fall in love with it! Devin is a perfect place (location-wise) to stay as a hub to visit all the places worth seeing. For a four-five day stay you can do short trips to almost all places on your “to do” list.

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were very welcoming and helpful and made us feel right at home. The view of the mountains from the windows and the balcony and outdoor seating was fantastic, the breakfasts very filling and it was very convenient having the restaurant in the hotel doing delicious Bulgarian food too!
