We loved this location - quaint, comfortable, and welcoming. The setting and the cabin were fabulous. Julian, our host was great. The cabin had everything we needed. It was clean and roomy, and the beds were comfortable. The wood-heated hot tub was fun. Guest could rent bikes, buy firewood, and 'shop' in the farm stall for fresh eggs, honey, wonderful homemade freezer meals, and much more There are several trails right out the front door that enable you to hike or mountain bike to a reserve with zebras and giraffes. We all wished we could have stayed longer! Thanks Julian!

Birches Cottage & the Willows Garden Room ligger på en grusvej, 5 km fra underberg. Ejendommen byder på naturstier, pools ved floden, picnicsteder, dæk og udsigtsområder. We absolutely loved the walks on the property - beautifully thought-out and clearly sign-posted. Paths are so well maintained and points of interest kept up engaged and looking forward to exploring even more.

Greenfire Drakensberg Lodge ligger i Kruisfontein og har bar. Ejendommen drives af solenergi og tilbyder træhytter i canadisk stil. The scenery is really something else. You are already quite remote in this part of ZA but once they bring you up with the 4x4 the only people you will encounter are those on the premise itself. The staff is very friendly and the food is great. All in all great value and a very relaxing place with great views and hikes!

Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Silver Hill Lodge is located in Mooirivier. Free WiFi access is available in this lodge. Extras include bed linen and ironing facilities. Enestående sted: vidunderlig beliggenhed, fantastisk service. Vi rejser meget, men har aldrig oplevet så perfekt et ophold. Alle, vi mødte, gav os utrolig service og hjælp. F.eks. arrangerede Anthea på stående fod, at jeg kunne komme med på op på bjerget en meget tidlig søndag morgen til lodgens volture hide og se Bearded Volture, og en glemt jakke blev straks sendt videre til vores næste destination. Vi vil elske at komme igen!

Montusi Mountain Lodge offers a bar and is located 44 km from Bergville. Guests receive free Wi-Fi access, a children's playground and a swimming pool. Montusi Lodge will always be among the most special places we have ever visited. The grounds are gorgeous and location stunning - remote, with birdsong, epic views towards the Drakensberg amphitheatre and spectacular skies. The food is superb with a daily changing menu and we looked forward to 4 course dinners each evening (and the wine list!). We stayed 5 nights and hiked every day. Before we got there, Dumisani was super helpful with pre-organising transfers to the Royal Natal National Park (about 25km) which has fabulous hiking. Shorter self-guided trails can also be done on the Montusi estate, right from the lodge. A really impressive operation for such a remote location and hosts Lindsey & Mick and their lovely team are to be congratulated. Thanks for making us so welcome and accommodating our thirst for the great outdoors!

Located around a privately owned lake with views of the Drakensberg mountain range, Sani Valley Nature Lodges offers secluded chalet accommodation in a tranquil setting with game viewing... Vistas are superb. Staff are excellent. Food options were really tasty and good value. Really relaxing location with lots to do and see

Gowrie Farm Golf Lodge ligger på Nottingham Road og har udsigt over en golfbane samt panoramaudsigt over dæmningen og de frodige omgivelser. Der er solterrasse og bar. Everything was absolutely beautiful

Surrounded by greenery, the Winterton Lodge @ Rose Cottage features a splash pool. Elegantly decorated, accommodation at Winterton includes a TV with satellite channels and a private bathroom. I had a fantastic stay, the lodge is very central to the surroundings, driving out to different venues daily was very easy and safe. The lodge owners and staff just super awesome, warm and kind,. Self catering units well Equipped and made it feel like home away from home.
