Such a beautiful, natural and convenient location. It was also very private! We were greeted by the alpacas upon arrival and Amir was an amazing host! he even provided us with firewood to make a gorgeous fire at night. He was very responsive to our messages as well - a lovely host who gave us so many local tips and tricks. We will be coming back again! Highly recommend this unique spot, perfect for couples!
Whitianga
Ideally located just 5 minutes' drive from Whitianga town centre, WoodyHanger Lodge features views over Mercury Bay and is just metres away from native bush. It boasts an outdoor pool with bay views. Free WiFi is offered. The view is amazing. The apartment located away from the main house is beautifully decorated. It is a dream location and just 5 minutes drive away from Whitianga. The hosts were very nice and very discreet. We enjoyed the quietness and the beauty of the place. The 3 days that we spent there were a dream part of our vacation

National Park
Set in tranquil surroundings with large landscaped grounds and a picturesque garden terrace with mountain views, Tongariro Crossing Lodge offers uniquely spacious rooms with historic character. A garden is featured. The staff provided exceptional guidance so that we could take stunning views of the mountains during sunset. Very high quality breakfast. Overall, exceeded my expectations in this rather remote/resource limited (to a city person at least) location.

Situated near Mangaweka, Mairenui Rural Retreat features a garden, barbecue, and sun terrace. Free WiFi is available and free private parking is available on site.

Whangamata
Located in Whangamata, 1.9 km from Whangamata Beach, Amazing Kiwi Lodge provides accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning and access to a garden with an outdoor swimming pool. The accommodation features a hot tub. Clare is lovely and very welcoming with information about the area, suggestions of places to visit and eat. Breakfast was delicious and delivered to our patio. Being outside of town was peaceful, and still easy to get to everything.

Located in Oneroa in the Waiheke Island region and Little Oneroa Beach reachable within 300 metres, Waiheke Island Punga Lodge provides accommodation with free WiFi, BBQ facilities, a garden and free private parking. We were welcomed by a fantastic host, full of humour! This is a perfect spot in the bush with wonderful birdsong surrounding you. Not far from the town centre. The homemade breakfast was delicious. Would love to go back one day!
Stratford

Excellent quiet property with new, top-tier fittings and fixures, friendly and helpful host, very comfortable beds, well equipped coffee/tea making facilities, room cleaned daily, continental breakfast stocked daily in the fridge in the room - allowed us to eat at leisure at our own time! Great view of Mt Taranki from the room (courtesty - clouds permitting, see attached pic). 6 min drive to Stratford town, 35 min drive to New Plymouth.

It is spotless and well maintained. All facilities are of a very high standard well above the level of most Backpackers lodges I have stayed at. It was so cosy warm, I only slept with a top sheet covering me.
Such a beautiful location .. the room was warm, clean, quiet and the bed was amazing. The lodges restaurant food was delicious and the Staff made you feel welcome and very attentive.

Surprisingly good. Lodge room was small but adequate. Great park facilities. Lounges were excellent. Hot tub for the lodges was large and clean. Fireplaces everywhere, barbeques to use in Lodge area. Larger fridges in rooms would be welcome as travelling couples often need cold storage, but lounges had frisges close by. Pool was clean and welcome on a 32C day. Would recommend, especially for caravanners,.
This is an amazingly peaceful oasis, where you can chill out and enjoy the beauty of nature. Unfortunately, we only stayed one night and wished we could have stayed much longer. The facilities are brilliant and the lodges spacious and clean. If you like the great outdoors, you will love it
The lodges are simple but well equipped and comfortable with great outside space for relaxing. A lovely backdrop of birdsong. A great base for exploring the local area. Would definitely recommend!
We came here as our holiday home accomadation we'd booked several months before let us down. Within moments of walking in the reception we knew we'd have a nice stay. The rooms were great, the reveptiom and house keeping staff went to great lengths to be welcoming and friendly. The Christmas decorations throughout were beautiful. The bar had a lovely ski lodge feel to it. The bar staff were also lovely. The free laundry was really helpful. A magical Christmas stay, and we would love to come back!
Close to Turoa ski field and ski hire shop. Loved the room - felt like a ski lodge. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony for a drink. Great to have a mini bar (paid). Bed super comfortable. Room was very warm and we didn’t need to put the heat pump on. Heating cupboard for wet clothes in the bathroom. Bathroom is a little dated but great shower and big bath. Shared Laundry on the floor. Enjoyed the breakfast, the lively atmosphere in the restaurant/pub and the friendly staff.
Friendly staff, homey ski lodge/cabin feel, hot tub was great after the alpine crossing.
love the old ski lodge vibe enjoyed the food at the restaurant very handy being able to stay and eat at the same place rooms had great bathrooms which had just been modernised and included a bath in our double room
