The owners, Garth & Angie went beyond the call to make our stay memorable & easy to highly recommend from the welcome, to the pre dinner drinks & canapes, the sharing of local knowledge & the beautifully presented, comfortable rooms. The breakfast was 10/10 using locally sourced high quality products. The coffee also got a gold star.

Fruits of all sorts + fresh baked croissant + fresh coffee / tea and we were event offered a choice of our preferred meals (omelet / fried eggs / bacon / sausages) that would be cooked as requested. The room was spacious: king bed + dressing table + seating area + fridge + coffee making facilities + shower place + separated toilet + bath tub. The bed was very comfortable and sheets are very soft. There's a lot of other modern facilities: special lightings, ambience radio, etc. Location was about 10 mins drive from city center. Far enough for a good quiet time and close enough for easy access. View from the room is amazing. Residence dogs: Bella (black) + Rufus (white) were such a joy and treat that greets you.

Clean, comfortable & a most helpful staff. The rooms appear to have been recently upgraded from what looks like an older building structure on the outside. The exterior grounds were under construction for renovation while we were there, but we were very happy with our overall stay. The hotel is only a 20 minute drive from the Tongariro Crossing Car Park.

Tongariro Lodge is located in 22 acres of secluded grounds, surrounded by a beautiful garden landscape and along the banks of Tongariro River. The location is so nice and quiet. It is surrounded by beautiful landscapes and walking paths by the river. A short drive to Tūrangi.

The breakfast was perfect, fresh, quality, beautifully cooked, stunningly presented and the coffee is also great. The location is lovely, quiet, relaxing and picture perfect.
