Tongariro Lodge is located in 22 acres of secluded grounds, surrounded by a beautiful garden landscape and along the banks of Tongariro River. A great stay. I was surprised by some recent negative reviews, yet found them false. We stayed as 6 people, 4 adults and 2 children.The place is very well run and maintained. The location, quality of villas, fit out of interior, log fire, great beds , great kitchen, nice deck and outlook and very clean etc., made this a 10 out 10 stay. Guido was also a great Manager , incredibly friendly and very nice guy whom was great to meet. Our only we missed was that restaurant was closed. Everything else was great. Location is the best ~ close to river, quiet, private ~ very good!
