Rooms are simple, but spacious and incredibly clean. Has all essentials: no kettle, but absolutely not a problem when the manager of the property is serving tea and coffee free. Location, off the main road. Amazing if you like somewhere a bit quieter, away from the tourist hubbub, but still accessible. 20-min walk to the Rock. Some tuk-tuks ask for more to drive them down the back street road. We just asked them to drop us off at the main road entrance and walked from there. Breakfast - sensational. Five stars. Home cooked coconut rotis and hoppers. Fresh, served at your selected time. But now the star of the show: Property Manager, Fernando, is a hospitality king. Waiting up late for us, to greet us with great welcome and ensure we had booked all of our drivers/activities for the next day. Making sure we were getting the best rates for our tours and tuk-tuks. Whatever we needed, Fernando delivered. He even tried to give us back our tip! But he deserved every penny. If you're reading Fernando, sir, thank you so much!!

Featuring garden views, Sun and Green Eco Lodge - Dambulla in Dambulla features accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and a restaurant. Gayani and Neil were exceptional hosts - they helped us arrange private cars to visit Sigiriya, Polonnawura and Pidurangala, as well as a transfer from Dambulla to Kandy. The breakfast was delicious and prepared for whatever time we requested. Dinner is also available and is very tasty! The property is great value for money and even though it's on a main road and I could hear traffic from the room this didn't prevent me from sleeping. The property also has items for sale such as water and clothing appropriate for visiting temples. The pool is also very clean. Overall I would recommend this property as a good base for visiting nearby attractions/cities.

Featuring garden views, Isanka Lion Lodge in Sigiriya features accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and a restaurant. The rooms are clean and equipped with both a fan and air condition. Bathroom is spacious and clean. But the reason you should go there is Anil and his family. They warmly welcomed is and helped to arrange all of the attractions at good price (and even supported when the salesman wanted to charge us more in the shop). Oh, and there is a very nice pool!

We had an excellent stay at Sigiriya Rock View Tree House! It exceeded our expectations. The tree house is really beautiful, it has everything you need, with views of the jungle and Lion Rock. Hasitha, and his mom took good care of us and they made us feel at home during the week we stayed there. They are really friendly and helpful. The breakfast... Holy mother of God, was simply the best one we had in a month around Sri Lanka! If they continue with such a good service and fair prices we are sure that they will have a lot of success! Featuring a garden, a terrace, and a restaurant, Sigiri Crown Tree Lodge provides accommodation in Sigiriya with free WiFi and mountain views. This lodge features free private parking and room... I had the best time in this place ! First of all, the tree lodge is located just next to their house, in the middle of nature so you are fully immersed in a calm and relaxing atmosphere. All you can hear are the sounds of the animals who are surrounding the place. It is located a little further away from Sigiriya’s town center which feels more touristy and crowded. The room is very comfortable with a big double bed, bathroom and balcony. Everything was very clean and nice. What made my experience special was the amazing hospitality of the hosts. Before my arrival, he contacted me to give me helpful advices to go to their place. When I arrived, I was welcomed by all members of the family. The grandfather was very happy to give me a tour of his garden which is wonderful ! The grandmother and his son (the owner) cooked all meals for me so I could taste many Sri Lankan specialties. Everything was delicious and very tasty ! In the afternoon, they took me to their favorite place, the lake with a view on the Lion’s rock and the Buddhist temple. They gave me advices on the best way to discover Sigiriya and arranged the tuk tuk to take me to Pidurangala’s rock the next morning to admire the sunrise. In the afternoon, I could borrow their bicycle to explore the place by myself and go to the lion’s rock. If you want to be immersed in Sri Lankan culture, this is the best place to go ! They immediately made me feel like part of their family and I will keep in mind all the memories that we shared together. They really are the most kindhearted people I’ve met. They always did everything they could to make me feel safe and comfortable. It was hard to say goodbye, I would have stayed longer if I had more time and I will not hesitate to come again during another trip in Sri Lanka. I truly wish them all the best for the future, they deserve to have more visibility. I can never thank them enough for this unique time. When you will go, please say hi to them for me, I miss them alr
