The bungalows and rooms were cleaned daily and the breakfast was phenomenal. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. This Italian owned hotel truly reflects its high standards in both the quality of its food and the honesty and warmth of its staff. For the first time in Costa Rica, we felt treated as valued guests rather than just sources of revenue.

This is in the most stunning location and all the lodges are surrounded by beautiful trees and plants. The path entering onto the beach is magical. We came by bus and enjoyed using the bikes to explore the area. (Bring your own bike lights!) We had the suite and loved the cosy kitchen as a place to be in the evening. Kitchen was very well equipped, it even had a teapot which we really appreciated! For the carless - local restaurant 'Selvin' is a few minutes walk away and is really good, but it is only open Thursday-Sunday. Other places you need to walk at least 1/2 hour or bike or TukTuk. Very lovely and helpful Nicole, the onsite manager, as well as the smiling gardener who brought us coconut water, grapefruits and bananas. Will carry on dreaming about this place and hope to return!

Nestled in the jungle amidst an enchanted botanical garden, 300m from Playa Grande, Wildlife Lodge Cahuita is the perfect getaway for nature lovers. Fernando was a wonderful host. Breakfast was delicious, the cabin was amazing, and the location could not be any more beautiful.

Satta Lodge offers you a unique experience in the heart of the Caribbean jungle and 700m from Cocles beach. What an amazing lodge! we stayed for two nights, but we easily could have stayed two weeks, or maybe forever!

Boasting a garden, Hotel-Cabinas Nadine offers accommodation in Cahuita with free WiFi and garden views. This property offers access to a balcony. Super quiet location. Beautiful trees plants and hummingbirds. Cabins are very nice and super clean. Everything is provided in the kitchen and fresh water provided as well.

We loved how private the bungalows were and the beautiful gardens where we saw birds and listened to the howler monkeys. The separate kitchen was great to make additional meals, the coffee maker and fridge in the room was a plus. The location was amazing, though Cahuita is small we were tucked away from the main road but only steps away from the entrance to the park. All around a great stay.

If you love nature and want to feel next to it then this is your place. It’s beautiful. Owners are lovely and helpful and leave you to get on with your stay or are there if you need them.

Playa Negra Guesthouse is located in Cahuita, right in front of the beach. All units feature a seating area. Some units have a terrace and/or balcony with pool or garden views. Very nicely and comfortably designed. We had everything we needed. A quiet, restful stay right across from a lovely beach. We even cooked dinner some evenings by the pool area. The owners are delightful and very accomodating. We couldn't have had a nicer time.

Playa Grande Lodge & Tree House offers pet-friendly accommodation in Cahuita. Puerto Viejo is 16 km from the property. Free WiFi is available throughout. incredible place, highly recommend anyone to stay. fabulous breakfast, room, location.

Really beautiful bungalow and surroundings, nice pool, everything kept meticulously clean, great location (quiet but in 10 - 15 min by foot there are supermarktes and restaurants on the main road where you can flag down a tuktuk which are passing by all day), agoutis in the garden ... and Marianna was a great host!
