The nature reserve is stunning, one of the most beautiful places I've stayed in all of South America. Some of the installations were in need of some dedicated maintenance but otherwise we would love to return many times.

The cabins are located in a beautiful place high up in the jungle. The host is very kind and the food they provide is delicious and a much needed change from the general restaurant food in Colombia. The cabins are lovely decorated.

Great getaway, perfect retreat place. Butterflies paradise and great swimming in the river. Sleeping with the sounds of the jungle (but protected against the insects). Free yoga classes and wonderful vegan food menu. Teenagers also loved it.

If you want to stay in the jungle, with humming birds, big beetles, that the owner catches and puts in your hand for you to hold, nice pool to cool off in, staying in a bamboo hut with insects of the jungle, no traffic noise (just the odd motorbike) . A tough walk to the San Juan beach (for me) but not the owner. If you want to stay somewhere that has no Internet, mobile data, cold drinks machine, TV, alcohol. But has peace and quiet, and the most adorable young daughter who can put a smile on anyone's face. This is a place for you.
A short bus ride to Tayrona N.P entrance.
Start your journey from Calabazo.
I would stay here again. 🤓

Rooms were clean and comfy. Nice people and great location, close to Tayrona. Breakfast was good. Would recommend it as a cheap and easy stop.
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.
We loved the people that work in the lodge. The welcome by Martha and Carla was lovely and the food made by David very tasty. Also the owner (Rafael) made sure that everything was fine. The garden is lush and green and a nice place to relax! Make sure to visit the cacao farm that is nearby, the tour is great and afterwards you get a chocolate face mask and fresh chocolate milk
