Legend has it that a god named Jinja-Daiou summoned up two giant snakes to form the crossing in 766 AD. We had an apartment for 6 adults for 2 nights and it was great. The unit is clean. It had a large table to accommodate 6 people for dinner. The place is 5 min walk to Shinkyo bridge and close to Toshogu area.
The owner gave us a drive from Tobu- Nikko to apt and she also dropped us back to the station after we checked out; save us 20 minutes of walking and pulling the luggage from/to station.
Will stay there next time if we ever go back to Nikko.
The room was spacious and the location near the Shinkyo Bridge and the Toshogu shrine complex was great including with a bus stop right next to the hotel.
The staff was very nice. They are literally the best thing about this place. The location is also great. Very convenient if you want to go and visit the Toshogu shrine and the Shinkyo bridge. There is also a fabulous café, Hongu café that is just 8 minutes away. You can also visit Mihashi, which is a wonderful steakhouse. The food and coffee at this restaurant is delicious. So, I did not enjoy the hotel, but the location is great. Also, the view from our room was nice, we could see the river.
The staff were friendly and the room was both quiet and comfortable. Due to its location right near the Shinkyo Bridge, you have very easy access to the many shrines and landmarks of Nikko (though this does put you a bit far from the train station if you prefer walking instead of taking the bus)
This apartment was awesome! We had a great stay. The room was clean and in a great location. The location is excellent only short walk to the Shinkyo Bridge. The owner was very helpful and friendly. We loved the futon and good sleeping here. The owner so kind to pick up us at Tobu Nikko station and also bring us back to station in the last day in Nikko.Everything about this apartment is superb value.

Excellently located in front of Shinkyo Bridge bus stop, this hotel provides amazing hospitality as all the staffs gave very warm welcome when we arrived. Facility-wise, it’s pretty decent for the price you pay. Everything was clean and neat, with sufficient amenities in the room. There is a public hot bath (sento, not onsen) on B1F, not so special but I enjoyed them very much.
great location not far from Shinkyo Bridge bus stop and walking distance away from world heritage site. Staffs are really helpful with us in every way. We recommend staying here when you come to Nikko. They also provide very comfortable transfer from station.
Stayed November 26-27 (Lucky to have the shared room to myself!) Location was very near to the Shinkyo Bridge & many notable temples. There were papers with a wonderful drawing of the area with places of interest which was helpful.
