The onsen was really really good. It was never crowded. Also, the room was very nice, spatious, and the beds were very comfortable! The food was very good and they had a microwave if you wanted to warm something up. It was easy to get around with the local bus even though it does goes around 1h to 1h

It's worth the climb along the road up from the lake if you arrive by boat. Once you get to the site, don't miss the path that can take you right to the top. There are benches along the way and we stopped at one for a picnic lunch with a waterfall view.
