The hotel is located on a very busy street with many shops and restaurants which we liked. It’s also located to many street marketplaces. Just down the street are a couple of train stations. We noticed there is an entrance/exit in the lobby to the train station, but we never utilized it. The hotel is very modern & clean. We entered the hotel on the street level and took an escalator down one level to the main lobby. Like many establishments in Japan, it doesn’t look like much from the street level, but it opens up once entered. The staff was very young, courteous, kind & helpful and spoke English. Once breakfast time was done, the dining area was a great place for us to gather, meet, regroup throughout the day for our party of 9. They also offer complimentary coffee/tea drinks via machine at all hours and wine or sake later in the evening. The rooms are small which we expected but clean and comfortable and housekept well. Love how the bathroom mirror automatically defogs shower steam! I also love the strong water pressure, esp because it’s so weak at my own home! I would definitely stay here again.

This was one of the best hotels we stayed at during our trip to Japan! The hotel features a modern design with a touch of Zen, creating a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast was excellent, offering a variety of both Western and Japanese options. The staff were outstanding—they handled everything for us, including transferring our luggage to Osaka. In the evenings, Kyoto comes alive with the vibrant Nishiki Market and Gion area, both of which are just a 20-25 minute walk from the hotel.
Incredible location on a quite street that puts you next to a Nishiki Market, walking distance to Gion and Nijo Castle. Green and Red subway lines are right next to it. The rooms were surprisingly big for a stay in Japan. Staff was very helpful and arranged our luggage shipped to the next hotel. We really enjoyed our stay in Kyoto a big part of the hotel we stayed at!
The location is ideal for exploring Kyoto, close to Nishiki Market and a train station exit. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable and the bathroom is one of the largest I've seen in a Japan hotel room.
The hotel is simple but very clean and elegant, the rooms are spacious compared to other hotels across Japan, the staff were extremely helpful and went the extra mile to help us out, the location is amazing with only a 10 minute walk from Nishiki market, and around 10 minutes walking to the old Gion district. Would definitely book it again!
Great hotel in a great location close to shopping, Nishiki market, lots of restaurants, and not far from Gion. Easy to get here from Kyoto station by subway. The breakfast was lovely.
It's a 7 min walk to Kyoto Station which is convenient. There's also a bus-stop 2 mins walk - to Nishiki Market, Gion, Pontocho Alley, Yasaka Shrine. Staff are helpful and hotel offers afternoon and evening drinks & snacks. Walking distance to Toji Temple. 4 x individual beds and comfortable space. Bonus - just next to the hotel, is Kitada Clam Soup Ramen which is excellent.
The location of the hotel was excellent & an easy walk to Nishiki market. Easy to obtain a taxi nearby and 7-11 around the corner. The staff was lovely and the room was very comfortable. I loved the tatami mat, slippers, and hotel pajamas provided. My entire group loved the breakfast - both Japanese & Western foods were offered. This was the best hotel we stayed in while in Japan.
Good location, close to metro and bus lines. Walking distance to the Nishiki Market. Very clean room with comfortable beds. Good breakfast to start a day with a variety of food from continental to Japanese. The hotel staff was professional and courteous. Good value for money.
We would stay there again
The place was very conveniently located, within walking distance to Nishiki market and Metro stop. It was a large comfortable space for a family of four to stretch out and have as our home base to travel and explore Kyoto, so much better option than small hotel room. The host was so kind, and used google translate to help explain everything in the house. Beds were comfortable and bathroom was very spacious. We ate out, so did not use the kitchen, but everything was available to cook yourself.
This hotel is conveniently located central in Kyoto and made reaching many tourist destinations convenient via short walk and then subway, or via bus. There are shopping options and was a 15min walk away from Nishiki Market as well. The staff were very friendly and accomodating, the facilities were clean, and the room was spacious.
