The public bath was very nice and clean, the location of the hotel was very convenient, just a short distance from Gion and the train station. Amazing smell in the lobby and friendly staff.

Room very clean and spacious, enough for two large luggage cases. Staff are helpful and warm. Love many beautiful and still practical design features around the room and hotel just as described in the official photos. Perfect location near transportation hub. Gion just a few steps away; can enjoy walks in the morning and night around the neighborhood for the different atmosphere. Good soundproof. Definitely will want to stay here again.

Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location for visiting Gion and the city. The rooms and hotel facilities were nicer than expected based on the website. The staff were excellent, assisting us with restaurant reservations and travel arrangements. The breakfasts were lovely with views over the river from the dining room. We enjoyed using the guest lounge room and complimentary drinks.

GREAT location to explore Kyoto, very near to many points of interest including Nishiki Market.
We were travelling as a couple and I booked without realizing the room with two single beds (instead of one queen/king size one): it turned out to be a great choice since the room was more spacious (japanese hotel room are quite small).
We reached the hotel from the train station with a bus (20/25 min ride) and the bus stop was exactly next to the hotel.
Staff was nice and helpful
We booked this for its location at Kyoto Station which offered easy access to trains, buses and even taxis. In cold weather its nice to be able to nip in and out from hotel to take the trains to and from places of interest like Arashiyama, museums and Nishiki Market. Staff were friendly and professional for check in and check out - we arrived a bit early but they checked us in and kept our bags for us while we went exploring. By the time we got back the rooms were ready and our luggage was in the rooms waiting for us. How nice!
Very good location wise for metro, bus etc. short walk to nishiki market (900m about 13 min) and „central Kyoto“. Many conbinis and normal supermarkets very near! Free coffee, matcha and tee provided from 6 am to 9 pm (matcha is very very good). Hotel rooms are very spacious and very good divided - even with a lot of luggage you still have enough room :). You also have a bigger window with fly screen which could be opened to let fresh air in.
Beautiful hotel that was very clean and had great facilities such as drinks and a resting area. The rooms themselves were clean and spacious compared to other hotels. The hotel is a 10-15 min walk from Kyoto station and popular areas such as Nishiki market.
I liked the look of this hotel - sophisticated. The rooms we booked were rather small but was cozy and had comfy beds. Rooms were clean and well maintained. For those who enjoy public baths, they have one. The location of this hotel is really good. Walkable to Pontocho and over to Gion. Teramachi shopping street is just across the road together with Nishiki Market.
Very good value for money, well appointed hostel. We had a room with a private bathroom, and it was very clean and well kept. Location was also very good, literally a 5 minute walk to Nishiki Market.
This location is one you can’t beat! It’s right near by stations and Nishiki Market! Food options are right on your door step, shops and lively crowds.
The hotel itself is on the more modern side, the rooms are slightly bigger than most Japan rooms.
The shower was incredible! Really enjoyed this stay.
