We liked the room and the very private balcony, the rustic furniture and the very nice view of the small tea plantation. Breakfast was very good. Everyday there was something different. We had one lunch and one dinner at the homestay, both were very good. The family were very gracious and the price of their meals very fair.
Short walk to town, nice view on terrace. Really lovely hosts and really good curry for dinner. We also were able o be picked up to get to the guest house and leave our bags for free.

We had a fantastic time in Ella. Wasantha and his wife are very friendly. We were welcomed with coffee and tea and had a delicious dinner. Wasantha hiked with us to the Ella rock so we wouldn't get lost. He also organized a tuktuk every time we needed one or drove us himself. His wife gave us a cooking class in their wonderful, rustic kitchen. We were allowed to help prepare our food, which was delicious. If we ever come back to Ella, this will be our address.
Everything was as promised and even more beautiful! The innkeeper is kindness personified... an example: when we went to eat in the evening, he waited for us upstairs - like a dad he took care of us! I am thrilled and will definitely book here again!
My short stay at Will's guest house was truly "exceptional" Everything exceeded my expectations. Location, money, food, warm ambiance and the experience itself was remarkable. Sir Will and his family was very welcoming since the beginning. They attended all my needs and made sure that I am very comfortable and feels at home. I highly recommend this place if you will be visiting Ella. It definitely looks and feels like paradise especially when you are having your breakfast in morning. Will surely come back to this place.
Staying with this very friendly family was really great fun. There was a lot of variation in breakfast style, everyday we had a different combination of the Sri Lankan breakfast. On request we could also have dinner at the guest house, which was very convenient. And, more over, it was everytime very delicious! WiFi was perfect, because of the low occupancy we were allowed to take the extender with us. And the view, just marvelous.
