The guest house is located away from the main road, and a small distance from town, situated on a quiet hillside facing a mountain and a gushing waterfall in the nearby distance. Loved the property - the location was a dream. The view from the bedroom was incredible. The hosts gave us huge breakfasts which we enjoyed on the balcony watching an amazing view. Shower was a little weak and there are difficult stairs to climb but this was all worth the view. The host helped us carry our bags up and down and were very helpful. Highly recommend.

Fantastic owners and great place if you really want to get rest and avoid crowds and tourists in Ella city center! Perfect location for hikes and Ella rock trail, near Kithaya train station. Only two rooms so perfect for 2 couples, having all fantastic terrace with mountains view for our own. Best Sri Lankan food we’ve ever had during our trip, amazing family - our happiness was their main priority and they helped us with everything! One more very important thing- best Wi-Fi during our trip in Sri Lanka (it is quite hard to have good connection even in cities) so highly recommend even for work and video calls. Definitely recommended!

Absolutely beautiful location, outside of the touristy town of Ella. The accommodation was immaculate and so comfortable.We spent 3 nights here and the owners cooked dinner for us, which was the best Sri Lankan food we have had so far on our 2 week trip. Incredible view of stars and fireflies at night. Can highly recommend Kingdom of Rustic if you are looking for a quiet getaway in the mountains. Town and waterfalls all within short driving distance, owners are happy to provide transport if and when needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Do you want to party hard until the morning and eat western food? Then this is definitely not the place for your. "Welcome Inn" is a beautiful family guest house hidden in Ella. What you will find: amazing view from the balcony, mind-blowing breakfast, kindhearted people. Our hosts made us feel like family members in their house. If you want to experience Ella, ask Gayan to become your tuk-tuk guide for the day! He is incredibly knowledgeable and will show you the non-touristy, hidden places in Ella.
We liked the room and the very private balcony, the rustic furniture and the very nice view of the small tea plantation. Breakfast was very good. Everyday there was something different. We had one lunch and one dinner at the homestay, both were very good. The family were very gracious and the price of their meals very fair.
AMAZING !!! Best view in Sri Lanka , sit back relax, enjoying your breakfast or dinner overlooking Ella Rock, litte Adams peak and a waterfall perfect !!! Staff all wonderful and friendly, just a short stroll or a tuk tuk ride down into town. Came for one nite stayed 3.

We had a fantastic time in Ella. Wasantha and his wife are very friendly. We were welcomed with coffee and tea and had a delicious dinner. Wasantha hiked with us to the Ella rock so we wouldn't get lost. He also organized a tuktuk every time we needed one or drove us himself. His wife gave us a cooking class in their wonderful, rustic kitchen. We were allowed to help prepare our food, which was delicious. If we ever come back to Ella, this will be our address.
